Nikon HN-43 Lens hood

The lens hood prevents light entering from the side from being reflected by lens or mount parts and thus reaching the image sensor or eyepiece.

As the aperture extends and darkens the end of the lens, the lens hood prevents light from entering the lens from the side. Another advantage of the extended lens is the additional protection against accidental impact.

The lens hood is specially designed for the Nikon Nikkor Z DX 35mm f1.7 macro lens.
