The X40 is designed to comfortably carry most mirrorless and DSLR cameras (up to 17 cm in height) using our DSLR Core Unit series. Thanks to the roll-top design, users can expand or compress the volume as needed. It features multiple attachment straps, including TPU compression straps for added durability when securing skis, and its removable helmet mount allows mountaineering, ski, or bike helmets to be attached to the outside of the backpack. The Action X’s interchangeable and adjustable shoulder straps are equipped with two zippered pockets that can hold the latest iPhone Pro Max smartphones, a water bottle, or personal accessories. The Action X25, X30, X40, and X50 feature side camera access and two removable pockets for a tripod or water bottle, which can be moved to the waist belt position for immediate access to essential accessories like snacks and lenses, or removed entirely to save weight. Two padded pockets protect laptops and tablets up to 16 inches. The removable belt, luggage pass-through, and hidden AirTag sleeve make the Action X40 an unobtrusive and elegant companion in the city and while traveling. Adjustable Torso Length

The X40 features three height options with a vertical adjustment range of approximately 9 cm (3 inches). This means that the same backpack is suitable for smaller or larger—male or female—torso sizes, ensuring a personalized fit for everyone. People with larger or broader torsos can add our Booster Kit to expand the backpack’s fit.

Core Unit Modular Camera Insert System

The X40 uses our DSLR Core Unit series. Core Units provide shock-resistant protection for mirrorless and DSLR cameras and lenses, ensuring that users never carry more padding and weight than necessary. The X40 v2 can accommodate our small, medium, and large DSLR sizes. It can also accommodate our slimmer mirrorless series.

Two Laptop/Tablet Pockets

The padded pockets on the back and front are designed to fit laptops up to 16 inches in size. With two pockets, you can pack both a tablet and a laptop, giving you options for various packing scenarios.

Expandable roll-top access

The Action X series features roll-top access, allowing the bag to adapt to your gear needs while maintaining a snug and compact fit. The roll-top can be expanded to provide an additional 7 liters of volume. The top section also features an additional YKK SplashGuard® zipper with quick-access functionality, making it extremely fast and easy to access your gear, especially in inclement weather.

Hidden Tracking Device Sleeve

A new hidden sleeve for a personal tracking device, so you always know where your backpack is. If your backpack ever gets lost, a tracker can help pinpoint its location and help you find your gear. The sleeve is compatible with AirTag and Tile Pro devices.
