Swarovski telescope ATS 80 HD (without eyepiece)

Discover the beauties of nature with the telescopes from SWAROVSKI OPTIK

. These are characterized by high-precision optics, innovative design and well thought-out functionality and are exceptionally light and robust. Precisely matched, optional accessories also extend the range of applications for your telescope. If you are looking for quality right from the start, the telescopes in the ATS series will give you a lot of pleasure. They offer all the advantages you are looking for in an observation telescope: tried and tested design, low weight and perfect optics. As one of the lightest quality telescopes in the world, it is characterized by detailed optics with high edge-to-edge sharpness and true-to-life colour reproduction.

HD optics

The HD optics are characterized by fluoride-containing lenses, which means that colour errors can be almost completely avoided. The scattering is significantly lower with fluoride compared to the best types of optical glass. This enables maximum color fidelity and leads to a considerable improvement in resolution and contrast.

Guaranteed precision

Swarovski works with tolerances of more than 8 µm in the manufacture of its products. A hair, for example, has a thickness of around 60 µm. Only the combination of maximum precision, state-of-the-art technology and high quality standards can guarantee the optical perfection for which Swarovski Optik is renowned in the long term:

  • Razor-sharp, true-color and high-contrast images thanks to the exclusive use of high-precision lenses and prisms
  • 100 % functional reliability from -20 °C / +55 °C

Swarobright - coating for optimum color fidelity across the entire light spectrum

Swarovski Optik is the first manufacturer in the world to use this technology in series production.

Swarotop - coatings for bright and high-contrast images

The surface reflection is reduced from 4 - 6 % of the light to up to 0.2 %. Used on all lenses and prisms in Swarovski Optik products.

Swarodur Swaroclean

This non-stick effect makes it easier to clean dirt such as water stains, insect repellent or tree resin.

lens diameter

The lens diameter determines the amount of light that enters the optics. It is therefore decisive for the performance, especially in twilight. The larger the objective lens diameter, the more light enters through the lens. The darker the surroundings, the larger the lens diameter should be. Pay attention to the exact product designation, as the number after the "x" indicates the lens diameter in millimeters. If a device has the suffix 10x42, for example, it has a lens with a diameter of 42 mm.

Variable magnification

With variable magnification, the magnification can be flexibly adjusted within a certain range. In contrast to fixed magnification, it is possible to zoom from a lower value to a higher value. However, as the magnification increases, the field of view, i.e. the image section, becomes smaller. Pay attention to the exact product designation, as the number in front of the "x" indicates the magnification. The 30-70x95 is a device with 30 to 70x magnification.

Field of view

The field of view refers to the size of the image section that can be seen through the optics. It is specified either in meters (width) at a distance of 1000 meters (m/1000m) or in degrees. The higher the magnification, the smaller the field of view. Binoculars have a large field of view, which means you can see over a large area. Telescopes have a higher magnification, which means that the field of view is significantly smaller, but more details can be seen.

Weight

The weight indicates how heavy or light the device is (in grams). Are you planning to do a lot of walking? Then you should look for lightweight equipment.
