The magnifications of SWAROVSKI OPTIK binoculars range from 7x to 60x. The Austrian company thus increasingly produces binoculars, but also offers spotting scopes that are best used with a tripod. The EL series is the highest quality series - which is also visible in the price. The SWAROVSKI OPTIK product range, however, consists not only of classic binoculars but also of so-called spotting scopes, a type of telescope. These can be used both monocularly, i.e. with one eye, and binocularly, with two eyes. These spotting scopes, for example the ATX, BTX and STX systems, are intended for standing use at a selected location rather than for sporadic reuse on an outing. Spotting scopes, some of which are capable of 50x magnifications, are very popular for nature and wildlife viewing, especially birding. They are classically mounted on a tripod so that the spotting scope stands as steady as possible, and can then be used soulfully so as not to spook sensitive animals. Thanks to the high degree of magnification, you are closer to the animals than ever before, despite the high distance.
