The Osmo Action 6 is DJI's first action camera with variable
aperture and a maximum aperture of f2.0 in
automatic aperture mode [1]. Choose the aperture mode that
suits your shooting needs [1].

4K 360° HorizonSteady

HorizonSteady delivers up to 4K/60fps stabilization with full
360° roll correction and ensures smooth and stable footage, even
during intense action in extreme sports such as mountain biking and
skiing.

Waterproof to 20 m without housing,

pro-level underwater shooting

Certified with an IP68 rating, the Osmo Action 6 supports
underwater use at depths of up to 20 meters without a housing [1]. The built-in color temperature sensor accurately detects changes in color temperature and delivers true-to-life colors with smooth transitions between underwater and above-water scenes.
A built-in water pressure gauge records and displays dive depth and
duration in real time [2]. The data can be added to the footage in
post-production to create more
immersion.

1. Measured at a room temperature of 25 °C with video recording in 1080p/24fps (16:9), RockSteady switched on, Wi-Fi disabled, voice and gesture control and screens switched off. The data was recorded in a controlled environment and is for reference only. Actual battery life may vary when the Osmo Action 6 is activated and used in the European Union and the United Kingdom due to local regulations regarding the operating temperature of the product.

3. Two DJI microphones are required. Direct connection with the first generation DJI Mic is not supported.

4. Microphones from DJI are sold separately.

5. Before use, close the battery cover and USB-C port cover and tighten the lens cover (glass) firmly. It is recommended to install a waterproof case for long-term underwater shooting or in environments with high water pressure. The Osmo Action 6 and the waterproof housing are IP68 certified. Do not use the camera in hot springs or extreme underwater conditions and avoid contact with corrosive or unknown liquids. The shutter/record button is deactivated at about 0.14 MPa (approx. 14 m depth). The actual depth for deactivating the shutter/record button may vary depending on water conditions, air pressure and device status.

6. In Auto mode, users can choose from five aperture ranges (f/2.0-f/4.0, f/2.2-f/4.0, f/2.4-f/4.0, f/2.6-f/4.0 and f/2.8-f/4.0), with f/2.0-f/4.0 set as the default. In wide aperture mode (f/2.0), the aperture is fixed at f/2.0. Aperture modes may be restricted depending on the shooting mode and accessories.

8. The Osmo Action 6 Standard Combo does not include the Osmo Action 6 Macro Lens, which is sold separately. In combination with the macro lens, the focus distance can be set between 11 cm and 75 cm. The macro lens does not support underwater use (e.g. diving) and is only splash-proof. When the macro lens is attached, certain shooting modes or functions may be restricted.

9. For optimal results, the star beam (f/4.0) aperture mode is recommended in urban night scenes with a brightness of over 80 lux.

10. SuperNight mode supports a colour depth of 10 bit. HorizonBalancing, HorizonSteady, 155° ultra-wide field of view or 4:3 aspect ratio are not supported. Certain aperture modes may not be available in SuperNight mode.

12. 10-bit D-Log M color mode can be activated in standard video mode, slow motion mode and hyperlapse mode.

18. The water pressure sensor is activated at a depth of 1 meter under water and is only effective when the camera is submerged without a waterproof housing.

20. Effective distance may change with future firmware updates.

21. Applies to bike data from Huawei Watch/Band, Apple Watch, Garmin devices or third-party FIT files.

22. The Osmo Action 6 Standard Combo does not include the Osmo Action 6 FOV Boost Lens; this is sold separately. The FOV Boost Lens is not suitable for use underwater (e.g. when diving) and is only splash-proof.

23. When the FOV Boost lens is attached, slow motion is not supported.

24. The native viewing angle of the Osmo Action 6 can reach up to 155°. With the FOV Boost lens, the field of view of the Osmo Action 6 can be extended to 182°.

25. Although 182° is the maximum optical field of view that can be achieved with this design, the actual field of view may vary slightly during shooting due to distortion correction and stabilization settings.

26. Applies only to iOS devices and certain Android devices that support third-party Live Photos integration.

29. USB 3.1 high-speed transmission requires a USB 3.1 compatible cable, which is sold separately. In an interference-free environment, the wireless transfer speed of photos/videos stored in the built-in memory can reach up to 80MB/s, while the speed of photos/videos stored on the SD card is up to 50MB/s. The included USB-C to USB-C PD cable (USB 3.1) supports transfer speeds of up to 300 MB/s.

30. Measured under laboratory conditions at 25 °C, with a USB-C charger that supports the standard PD 3.0 protocol and has a maximum PD output power of 30 W or more, with photo and video functions turned off and screen off.

32. Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) is not supported on Osmo Action 4 and Osmo Action 5 Pro in Time Lapse and Slow Motion modes. HorizonSteady only supports 1080p/2.7K (≤ 60fps) video in 16:9 aspect ratio, and HorizonBalancing only supports 1080p/2.7K/4K (≤ 60fps) video in 16:9 aspect ratio.

33. Subject Tracking mode is only available when shooting horizontally and supports recording videos up to 2.7K/60fps in 16:9 and 9:16 aspect ratios.

34. When the Osmo Action 6 macro lens is attached, subject tracking is not supported.

35. Measured in lab conditions at -20°C and 45°C while recording 1080p/24fps (16:9) video, with RockSteady enabled, Wi-Fi turned off and screens disabled. The maximum duration of continuous recording at -20 °C and 45 °C was 167 minutes and 190 minutes respectively. The data was recorded in a controlled environment and is for reference only.
