Canon EOS R7
EOS R technology meets APS-C design to create a small, fast and powerful next-generation mirrorless hybrid camera that continues the legacy of the EOS 7D series.
The EOS R7 delivers up to 15 frames per second with mechanical shutter and up to 30 frames per second with electronic shutter to reliably capture even the fastest subjects. Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with Deep-learning technology covers 100% of the field of view and offers fast and accurate subject detection for people, animals and vehicles. Internal camera and optical image stabilization together enable compensation of up to 8 exposure levels to reduce camera shake. You can record videos in 4K with up to 60p and up to 120p in Full HD with more than 30 minutes duration and Canon Log 3 for a wide dynamic range and more possibilities in post-production.
EOS R innovation meets APS-C design
The EO R7 is equipped with an APS-C sensor. This offers 1.6 times more telephoto range with your lens than the same focal length on a full-frame camera. You'll feel like you're right next to your subject and can easily capture full-frame wildlife portraits and impressive action shots.
Next-generation autofocus - with deep-learning AI and scene recognition
The EOS R7 has been equipped with Deep-learning AI and iTR AF technology, which can also be found in the EOS R3, EOS R5 and EOS R6 cameras. This enables it to recognize people, animals and vehicles and capture them in razor-sharp focus, no matter how they move in the frame.
Autofocus that exceeds all expectations
For wildlife photography, the camera's ability to recognize birds in flight and keep them in focus as they fly over the landscape will delight. In sports photography, the camera scores with its ability to track people moving quickly and unpredictably - even if they are wearing a helmet, looking in a different direction or turning upside down.
The EOS R7's Dual Pixel CMOS AF II focusing system covers almost 100% of the field of view and ensures fast, precise autofocus even in low-light environments down to -5 EV or at aperture values up to F22.
Image stabilization on a new level - 7-stage protection against camera shake
Imagine being able to take long exposure handheld photos and capture moving subjects with motion blur without using a tripod. Or recording steady videos while walking with the camera. The EOS R7's in-camera image stabilizer (IBIS) opens up new creative possibilities and might make you rethink the way you use your camera system.
Smooth shots - even when things get wild
The camera's IBIS works in conjunction with the optical IS that many of our RF lenses are equipped with. Thanks to the enormous communication speed of the RF bayonet and its large diameter, up to 7 exposure stops can be compensated with the RF-S 18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM (optional) and up to 8 exposure stops with other RF lenses. Stabilization is achieved via 5 axes, which enables blur-free hand-held shooting even with long exposure times.
And if you use a lens without optical IS (e.g. a fast fixed focal length), the IBIS of the EOS R7 still offers highly effective protection against camera shake thanks to the wide bayonet of the EOS R system.
Smooth videos
When shooting video, IBIS and optical IS are complemented by a third technology: Movie Digital IS. Together, these systems compensate for camera shake to such an extent that you could be forgiven for thinking the footage was shot with a gimbal.
Smooth movement, perfectly captured on video
Frame rates of up to 60p in 4K and up to 120p in Full HD material are possible when recording video. Capture moving objects with incredible precision and create fluid slow-motion effects in post-production.
A new chapter in image quality. Photos and videos that exceed expectations
Whether you're shooting stills or video, the EOS R7's 32.5 megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC X image processor deliver impressive results. The technical advantages of the EOS R system combined with our expertise in optics and sensor design ensure image quality that outshines anything you've seen before.
Sigma 17-40mm f1.8 DC RF-Mount
The Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art builds on the groundbreaking innovations of the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM Art, which was the world's first F1.8Zoom lens to receive widespread acclaim in the photo and video industry. Thirteen years after its debut, this next generation lens not only offers superior optical performance, but also a longer focal length of 17-40mm with a weight reduction of over 30%. This significantly increases the versatility of a standard wide aperture lens. In addition to fast and quiet autofocus through the HLA (High-response Linear Actuator), the lens features an internal Zoom mechanism and minimal focus breathing, ensuring outstanding performance for both photo and video production. Sigma, the pioneer that wowed the world with the first F1.8 Zoom lens, has once again revolutionized the history of large aperture Zoom lenses with groundbreaking advancements.
Constant maximum aperture of F1.8
The Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art offers the convenience of a Zoom lens with a constant aperture of F1.8 over the entire Zoom range. Thanks to the large aperture, which is usually only offered by fixed focal lengths, the lens is suitable for low-light environments, such as indoor and night shots, as well as for expressive shots with great bokeh.
The optical construction, realized through the latest design and processing technologies, including the use of high-precision aspherical lenses, achieves outstanding optical performance.
The Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art achieves high resolution even at open aperture thanks to the successful correction of longitudinal chromatic aberration and sagittal coma. Fine textures and details are reproduced with impressive clarity
Flexible subject composition
The focal length range of the Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art has been extended compared to its predecessor Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM Art. Equivalent to the 35mm KB format, it offers 25.5-60mm*. From landscape shots to tabletop or reportage to portraits, photographers can take full advantage of the expressive power of the large F1.8 aperture. From wide-angle to standard range, shots can be freely composed without having to change lenses
*approx. 27.2-64mm in the Canon RF Mount version.
Designed to minimize flare and ghosting
By using advanced simulation technology and Sigma's Super Multi-Layer Coating, flare and ghosting have been largely eliminated so that the lens delivers rich, high-contrast results in all conditions.
Convenient internal zoom for a perfect balance
Thanks to the internal zoom mechanism, the overall length of the lens remains constant when changing the focal length or focus. This means that the Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art is easy to handle when shooting handheld, from a tripod or gimbal and remains perfectly balanced. In addition, this design is less susceptible to dust and splash water.
Improved mobility through a compact and lightweight design
The Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art is over 30% lighter and has a filter diameter of 67mm, which is one size smaller than its predecessor, the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM Art. Although it is a Zoom lens with a large aperture, it is surprisingly handy. The expressive power of F1.8 can be used with a compact APS-C system and makes it ideal for travel and everyday photography as well as video productions where mobility is crucial.
Dust protection, splash protection* and water and oil-repellent coating
In addition to the dust and splash-protected construction, the front element of the Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art has a water and oil-repellent coating.
This
means that the lens can also be used in harsh conditions
*The lens is dust and splash-proof, but not waterproof. Make sure that the lens does not come into complete contact with water. Water inside a lens can cause major damage and even make it irreparable.
Equipped with two AFL buttons
The Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art offers two AFL buttons *1 *2 which have been positioned for optimum accessibility for shooting in portrait and landscape mode. These buttons can be assigned individual functions via the camera menu of compatible cameras

*2 The Fujifilm X mount version has an AF function button that can be used to select AF lock/AF operation via lens switch
HLA-controlled high-speed AF
The HLA (High-Response Linear Actuator) drive enables quiet, fast and high-precision autofocus. The smooth, stable autofocus is not only suitable for still photography, but is also perfect for shooting with a gimbal or for vlogging
. Minimal focus breathing
Focus breathing has been suppressed extremely effectively on the Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art. This means that there are virtually no changes to the angle of view when moving the focus point, which ensures very natural-looking focus tracking when shooting video.
Functional aperture ring
Many demanding users appreciate being able to set the aperture directly via an aperture ring* on the lens. The Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art offers such an aperture ring. Thanks to its "de-click function", this feature is also interesting for filmmakers, as the aperture can be adjusted smoothly and silently in this position. Those who prefer to set the aperture on the camera body can use the lock function of the aperture ring and are protected against accidental adjustment
*The Canon RF Mount version has a control ring instead of an aperture ring. This version therefore has no aperture ring click switch or lock switch.
