Canon EOS R50V housing
The Canon EOS R50V is a modern interchangeable lens camera with a focus on video. It has been specifically designed for ambitious content creators who want advanced video tools and seamless connectivity to enhance their storytelling and strengthen their brand.
Unlimited creativity
Whether it’s wide landscapes or detailed close-ups, you can choose the lens that best suits your needs. Slow and fast modes add excitement and drama to your videos, while customizable picture styles and color filters give them the look you want. With recordings in Canon Log 3 and fine-tuning the colors in post-production will improve the quality of your videos even further.
Specially developed for vlogging
Shooting solo can be difficult - but with the EOS R50 V it’s no problem. Settings can be adjusted using the rotating and tilting touchscreen, and you simply press the record button on the front of the camera to start filming. The autofocus with scene recognition reliably ensures sharp shots, and with the special tripod mount you can easily switch to portrait format. And when the camera is used with an RF-S 14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ, the
advanced Canon stabilization technology ensures smooth, clean shots even when filming on the move.
Quality as standard
With the EOS R50 V, content always looks good. An advanced 24 megapixel sensor with Dual Pixel CMOS AF delivers razor-sharp 4K video from oversampling the 6K sensor data. Up to 120 fps with sound recording is available for smooth slow-motion sequences in Full HD, while 4:2:2 10-bit recording ensures richer colors and more flexibility in post-processing - allowing you to fine-tune details and achieve impressive results.
Shooting. Share.
Easily transfer your shots via Wi-Fi with Bluetooth or USB to a smartphone or computer for editing and sharing as needed, streamlining your workflow. One press of the LIVE button takes you straight to the streaming options so you can go live in seconds. Charging required? The EOS R50 V can automatically stream content while charging - it doesn’t even need to be switched on.
Customized content, customized style
The dedicated manual exposure and focus controls help you capture stunning and engaging videos that stand out from the crowd. You can fine-tune the sound during recording, extract high-resolution frames for YouTube thumbnails, and use side markers to precisely adjust content to the aspect ratio of different platforms. Even more control options are available with the optional Canon RF-S 14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ lens on the camera, which can also be zoomed remotely.
Sigma 17-40mm f1.8 DC RF-Mount
The Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art builds on the groundbreaking innovations of the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM Art, which was the world’s first F1.8 Zoom lens to receive widespread acclaim in the photo and video industry. Thirteen years after its debut, this next generation lens not only offers superior optical performance, but also a longer focal length of 17-40mm with a weight reduction of over 30%. This significantly increases the versatility of a standard wide aperture lens. In addition to fast and quiet autofocus through the HLA (High-response Linear Actuator), the lens features an internal Zoom mechanism and minimal focus breathing, ensuring outstanding performance for both photo and video production. Sigma, the pioneer that wowed the world with the first F1.8 Zoom lens, has once again revolutionized the history of large aperture Zoom lenses with groundbreaking advancements.
Constant maximum aperture of F1.8
The Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art offers the convenience of a Zoom lens with a constant aperture of F1.8 over the entire Zoom range. Thanks to the large aperture, which is usually only offered by fixed focal lengths, the lens is suitable for low-light environments, such as indoor and night shots, as well as for expressive shots with great bokeh.
The optical construction, realized by the latest design and processing technologies, including the use of high-precision aspherical lenses, achieves outstanding optical performance.
The Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art achieves high resolution even at open aperture thanks to the successful correction of longitudinal chromatic aberration and sagittal coma. Fine textures and details are reproduced with impressive clarity
Flexible subject composition
The focal length range of the Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art has been extended compared to its predecessor Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM Art. Equivalent to the 35mm KB format, it offers 25.5-60mm*. From landscape shots to tabletop or reportage to portraits, photographers can take full advantage of the expressive power of the large F1.8 aperture. From wide-angle to standard range, shots can be freely composed without having to change lenses
*approx. 27.2-64mm in the Canon RF Mount version.
Designed to minimize flare and ghosting
By using advanced simulation technology and Sigma’s Super Multi-Layer Coating, flare and ghosting have been largely eliminated so that the lens delivers rich, high-contrast results in all conditions.
Convenient internal zoom for a perfect balance
Thanks to the internal zoom mechanism, the overall length of the lens remains constant when changing the focal length or focus. This means that the Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art is easy to handle when shooting handheld, from a tripod or gimbal and remains perfectly balanced. In addition, this design is less susceptible to dust and splash water.
Improved mobility through a compact and lightweight design
The Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art is over 30% lighter and has a filter diameter of 67mm, which is one size smaller than its predecessor, the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 DC HSM Art. Although it is a Zoom lens with a large aperture, it is surprisingly handy. The expressive power of F1.8 can be used with a compact APS-C system and makes it ideal for travel and everyday photography as well as video productions where mobility is crucial.
Dust protection, splash protection* and water and oil-repellent coating
In addition to the dust and splash-protected construction, the front element of the Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art has a water and oil-repellent coating.
This
means that the lens can also be used in harsh conditions
*The lens is dust and splash-proof, but not waterproof. Make sure that the lens does not come into complete contact with water. Water inside a lens can cause major damage and even make it irreparable.
The Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art offers two AFL buttons *1 *2 which have been positioned for optimum accessibility for shooting in portrait and landscape mode. These buttons can be assigned individual functions via the camera menu of compatible cameras
*1 Only in combination with compatible cameras. Available functions may vary depending on the camera used.
*2 The Fujifilm X mount version has an AF function button that can be used to select AF lock/AF operation via lens switch
HLA-controlled high-speed AF
The HLA (High-Response Linear Actuator) drive enables quiet, fast and high-precision autofocus. The smooth, stable autofocus is not only suitable for still photography, but is also perfect for shooting with a gimbal or for vlogging
. Minimal focus breathing
Focus breathing has been suppressed extremely effectively on the Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art. This means that there are virtually no changes to the angle of view when moving the focus point, which ensures very natural-looking focus tracking when shooting video.
Functional aperture ring
Many demanding users appreciate being able to set the aperture directly via an aperture ring* on the lens. The Sigma 17-40mm F1.8 DC Art offers such an aperture ring. Thanks to its “de-click function”, this feature is also interesting for filmmakers, as the aperture can be adjusted smoothly and silently in this position. Those who prefer to set the aperture on the camera body can use the lock function of the aperture ring and are protected against accidental adjustment
*The Canon RF mount version has a control ring instead of an aperture ring. This version therefore has no aperture ring click switch or lock switch.
