Extreme speed, maximum sharpness

With the RF 14mm F1.4L VCM, Canon sets new standards in the ultra-wide-angle range. The fast hybrid fixed focal length lens combines an extreme wide-angle perspective with exceptional image quality - ideal for photo and video productions at a professional level.

With a diagonal angle of view of 114°, the lens is ideal for landscape and interior shots. The high speed of 1:1.4 enables low-light photography and ensures a shallow depth of field for targeted subject exposure.

Despite its performance data, the lens remains surprisingly light at around 578 g, making it a good choice for travel, outdoor shoots or drone use.

With exceptional sharpness from the center of the image to the corners, even at f1.4 aperture, the RF 14mm F1.4L VCM achieves a level of performance that is rare for such a wide-angle and fast design. This makes it particularly interesting for use in astrophotography. The large maximum aperture enables shorter exposure times to reduce star trails while maintaining high image quality and moderate ISO values. Thanks to the extremely wide angle of view, the lens is also ideal for professional landscape and architectural photography as well as for shooting in confined indoor spaces.

Sharper details throughout the image

Three aspherical GMo lenses suppress sagittal coma stray light and thus ensure fine reproduction of point light sources - e.g. stars in astrophotography - and outstanding precision from the center of the image to the edges.

Precise control for photo and video recording

The hybrid features include a special, smooth-running aperture ring, an 11-blade iris diaphragm, minimized focus breathing and a VCM (Voice Coil Motor) for fast, smooth and quiet autofocus.
