Canon EOS R7
EOS R technology meets APS-C design—the result is a compact, fast, and powerful next-generation mirrorless hybrid camera that carries on the legacy of the EOS 7D series.
The EOS R7 delivers up to 15 frames per second with a mechanical shutter and up to 30 frames per second with an electronic shutter, reliably capturing even the fastest subjects. Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with deep-learning technology covers 100% of the frame and offers fast and precise subject recognition for people, animals, and vehicles. In-camera and optical image stabilization work together to provide compensation of up to 8 stops of light, reducing blur caused by camera shake. You can record 4K video at up to 60p and Full HD video at up to 120p for more than 30 minutes, using Canon Log 3 for a wide dynamic range and greater flexibility in post-production.
EOS R Innovation Meets APS-C Design
The EOS R7 is equipped with an APS-C sensor. Combined with your lens, it offers 1.6 times the telephoto reach compared to the same focal length on a full-frame camera. You’ll feel like you’re standing right next to your subject, and you can easily capture full-frame animal portraits and impressive action shots.
Next-Generation Autofocus—With Deep-Learning AI and Subject Recognition
The EOS R7 is equipped with deep-learning AI and iTR AF technology, which are also found in the EOS R3, EOS R5, and EOS R6 cameras. This allows it to recognize people, animals, and vehicles and capture them with razor-sharp clarity, no matter how they move within the frame.
Autofocus That Exceeds All Expectations
In wildlife photography, the camera’s ability to detect birds in flight and keep them in focus as they soar over the landscape is sure to impress. In sports photography, the camera excels at tracking people who move quickly and unpredictably—even if they’re wearing a helmet, looking in a different direction, or standing on their heads.
The EOS R7’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF II focusing system covers nearly 100% of the frame and ensures fast, precise autofocus even in low-light environments down to -5 EV or at aperture settings as high as f/22.
Image stabilization taken to a new level—7-stop protection against camera shake
Imagine being able to take handheld photos with long exposure times and capture moving subjects with motion blur without using a tripod. Or shooting steady videos while walking with the camera. The EOS R7’s in-body image stabilizer (IBIS) opens up new creative possibilities and might even make you rethink the way you use your camera system.
Smooth shots—even when things get wild
The camera’s IBIS works in tandem with the optical IS found in many of our RF lenses. Thanks to the RF mount’s extremely fast communication speed and large diameter, it can compensate for up to 7 stops of camera shake with the RF-S 18-150mm F3.5-6.3 IS STM (optional) and up to 8 stops with other RF lenses. Stabilization is provided across 5 axes, enabling shake-free handheld shots even at long exposure times.
And if you’re using a lens without optical IS (e.g., a fast prime lens), the EOS R7’s IBIS still provides highly effective protection against camera shake blur thanks to the wide mount of the EOS R system.
Smooth Videos
When shooting video, IBIS and optical IS are complemented by a third technology: Movie Digital IS. Together, these systems compensate for camera shake to such an extent that you might think the footage was shot with a gimbal.
Smooth Motion, Perfectly Captured on Video
When shooting video, frame rates of up to 60p in 4K and up to 120p in Full HD are possible. Capture moving objects with incredible precision and create smooth slow-motion effects in post-production.
A new chapter in image quality. Photos and videos that exceed expectations
Whether you’re taking photos or shooting video, the EOS R7’s 32.5-megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC X image processor deliver impressive results. The technical advantages of the EOS R system, combined with our expertise in optics and sensor design, deliver image quality that eclipses anything seen before.
Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD Canon RF
The 17-70mm f/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD (Model B070) is a fast standard zoom lens for APS-C mirrorless cameras. It was designed to offer both a wide Zoomrange and outstanding image quality. With a focal length range of 17 to 70 mm¹, it achieves a 4.1x Zoom zoom ratio—best-in-class among APS-C standard zooms—while maintaining a constant maximum aperture of f/2.8 across the entire Zoom range.
The 17-70mm f/2.8 VC features the VC (Vibration Compensation) image stabilizer as well as a fast and quiet AF system². Since focus breathing and AF noise are effectively suppressed, the 17-70mm f/2.8 VC is equally suitable for both still photography and video recording. Despite its class-leading Zoomfactor and built-in VC, the lens remains remarkably light and compact.
This makes the 17-70mm F2.8 VC an excellent choice for everyday use as well as for travel, where light weight is particularly important. The lens also impresses at close range: it achieves a minimum focusing distance of just 0.19 m in the wide-angle range. This allows you to capture expressive and unique images in many everyday situations—such as street photography or portraits.
Additional features, such as a moisture-resistant design and a fluorine coating, enhance its functionality and versatility. Whether in everyday life or on distant travels, the 17-70mm F2.8 VC captures special moments and discoveries with the finest attention to detail.
- Equivalent to a 25.5–105 mm angle of view in full-frame format for the Nikon Z-mount and 27.2–112 mm for the CANON RF mount.
- With the 17-70mm F2.8 VC for CANON RF and Nikon Z mounts, autofocus tracking may be less responsive during video recording.
