Nikon ZR housing
From carefully staged scenes to spontaneous run-and-gun videos, the ZR is the perfect tool for taking storytelling to the next level. With an in-camera recording capacity of up to 6K/60p and a comprehensive range of professional video formats, it offers the flexibility to suit virtually any platform and workflow. Standout features include an exclusive R3D NE codec that introduces proven RED color science at Nikon. In addition, the ZR has a dual-base ISO sensitivity of 800/6400, which maintains the sensor's dynamic range of more than 15 stops for maximum detail in highlights and shadows
. For agile setups, the ZR's tilting and rotating 4-inch monitor is a big advantage. The large and bright display serves as a comprehensive control center and covers the DCI-P3 color space for precise color reproduction on set. As the picture is only half the story, the ZR also stands out as the world's first camera1 with integrated 32-bit float audio recording. The dynamic range of 32-bit audio is so wide that levels do not need to be constantly monitored during filming: Audio can be recorded freely and levels can be adjusted in post-production without clipping
. Other professional ZR features include complete weather sealing and a wide range of optional lenses thanks to compatibility with Nikon and third-party lenses. In addition, the ZR offers extensive system expansion possibilities and the new optional ME-D10 digital directional microphone from Nikon with numerous directional characteristics for different shooting conditions.
Up to 6K/60p recording directly in the camera
Flexible frame rates and resolutions. From cinematic 24p to extreme slow motion at 240p. From detailed 6K resolution to razor-sharp, compact 1080p resolution.
Wide dynamic range and high readout speeds that effectively minimize rolling shutter distortion.
Proven RED Color Science
RED's exclusive R3D NE codec allows immense freedom in post-production, as ZR video footage and R3D video footage recorded by RED cameras can be processed in the same post-production workflow.
4-inch tilting and rotating touchscreen monitor
The large, high-resolution, 1,000 nits bright monitor covers the DCI-P3 color space and has a generous 16:10 display format. Functions are controlled by smooth, quiet screen touches and up to 10 3D LUTs can be loaded into the camera for display on the monitor during shooting.
Dual-base ISO of 800/6400
when shooting in Log3G10. The sensor's wide dynamic range of 15+ stops is maintained at both base ISO settings.
32-bit in-camera float audio recording
Sound recordings can be freely used with the camera's internal microphones or a compatible external microphone and adjusted in post-production without clipping.
Cinematic video modes and custom RED Picture Controls
4 creative video modes and 9 custom RED Picture Control configurations deliver a cinematic look and feel straight from the camera.

The image stabilizer with sensor shift of Nikon ensures blur-free shots in five axes.
Breathing correction
Smoother, more natural transitions.
Long shooting times
The innovative fanless housing design dissipates heat silently and efficiently.
Lightweight and robust
The ZR weighs approx. 540 g (camera only) and is fully sealed against the elements.
Z bayonet for flexibility in lens choice
Any NIKKOR Z lens, any lens with a Nikon F bayonet and many third-party lenses can be attached.
Expandable
With the extensive range of accessories from Nikon and partner brands, the equipment can be expanded at any time.
New ME-D10 digital directional microphone (optional)
Compatible with the 32-bit float audio format and offers a signal-to-noise ratio of 77 dB for distortion-free sound.
Nikon Nikkor Z 24-70mm f2.8 S II
The NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S II is a technical masterpiece and the first professional lens in its focal length class with an internal Zoom - and at the same time the lightest. *1 Weighing just 675g, this highly versatile lens is stable in the hand and easier to use as it does not extend or retract when changing the focal length.
Internal Zoom
The lens barrel does not extend and retract. The center of gravity remains constant and the shots remain precise.
Improvements for videos
The internal Zoom means that the lens does not have to be rebalanced when using
a gimbal, and heavy accessories are easier to handle. Focus breathing is also reduced for more natural transitions.
Focus limiter
Limits the focus range to 0.33 m over the entire Zoom range for a constant working distance at all focal lengths.
In any location
The robust weather sealing keeps out dust, dirt and moisture. *2
Control ring with switchable click
"On", for tactile feedback during incremental adjustments. "Off", for smooth, noiseless, stepless operation
Versatile, stable, robust
The internal Zoom beautifully maximizes the versatility of this 24-70mm lens. The weather sealing is robust, and there are fewer moving parts exposed to the elements: no worries about gear, no matter where. Plus, there's no weight shift: you can zoom without having to reach around. The lens barrel does not extend and therefore does not interfere with close-up shots.
New S-line optics
The new optical design uses fewer lenses, but with greater impact - with aspherical lenses on both sides and ED glass. Outstanding image quality and less weight.
Adapted coatings
Thanks to the anti-reflective meso-amorphous, ARNEO and adapted super-integrated coatings in several layers, you can take photos without glare spots or ghost images in the light.
Multi-Focusing System
Multiple lens groups move in perfect synchronization for high-precision autofocus and maximum optical performance.
SSVCM
The first Zoom lens from Nikon with the Silky Swift Voice Coil Motor (SSVCM). Stunningly fast and precise AF performance.
5 x faster AF performance
You don't need a second chance as fast as this autofocus is.3
40% reduction in scan time in the telephoto range
Excellent for fast action shots.
50% quieter -
than the previous model, even at the fastest AF speed.
60% Faster focus tracking at Zoom
Keeps subjects in focus even when the focal length changes.
Softer, better defined bokeh
The new optics rely on precisely manufactured aspherical lenses - they shape the light as beautifully as possible. The bokeh in the background and foreground is clearly defined and so smoothly graduated that it looks as if it was photographed with a fast fixed focal length lens.
Aperture with 11 rounded blades
A new aperture with 11 blades ensures a rounder bokeh. At the same time, the new optical design of the S-Line guarantees that point light sources such as stars and city lights are reproduced sharply and clearly. Thanks to the consistently high lens speed of 1:2.8 and the impressive close focus capability of this professional lens, you can take cinematic close-ups - in any light and in any situation. Or fascinating night photos and landscapes in low light.
It's not a macro - but almost
With an impressively short focusing distance of just 24 cm (at a focal length of 24 mm) to 33 cm (at 70 mm), you can get very close to your subject. The maximum magnification is 0.21x at 24 mm and 0.32x at 70 mm.
Note
In this document, "FX format" and "FX" are used for an angle of view that corresponds to that of a 35 mm camera ("full format"). "DX format" and "DX" stand for an angle of view that corresponds to an APS-C camera
*1 As of August 22, 2025, under interchangeable lenses with 24-70 mm, f/2.8 for mirrorless full-frame cameras/FX format.
