The Sony SEL 16-55mm G is an APS-C standard Zoom lens with a constant F2.8 aperture and offers excellent G series image quality with outstanding all-round performance. The focal length range of 16-55mm for APS-C corresponds to 24-82.5mm in full-frame format. The advanced design features two aspherical elements (Advanced Aspherical) that correct aberrations for outstanding resolution right to the edge of the image, while three ED (ExtraLow Dispersion) glass elements minimize chromatic aberrations and colour bleeding.

To guarantee outstanding image sharpness when shooting, an AR Nano coating reduces reflections and ghost effects. The lens boasts a circular aperture with nine blades.
