Sony Alpha ILCE-7R VI Body
The Alpha 7R VI is the ultimate tool for creators who expect outstanding resolution and advanced performance, thanks to the newly developed 66.8 MP back-illuminated multi-layer Exmor RS sensor and the BIONZ XR2 processor with built-in AI. It offers outstanding detail with up to 30 fps blackout-free shooting and 8K 30p video recording, combining high resolution and fast shooting in one system. Every decisive moment is captured thanks to pre-capture and real-time detection autofocus (AF+). Up to 16 stops of dynamic range ensure precise results. More creative flexibility thanks to improved stabilization of up to 8.5 stops and advanced RAW workflows. Designed to meet the highest standards, the camera features a high-resolution electronic viewfinder, dual USB-C ports and professional interfaces. The Alpha 7R VI is ideal for professional and advanced creators and offers uncompromising image quality in every shooting situation.
Resolution redefined
Precise nuance capture meets the highest resolution and powerful color expression thanks to the back-illuminated and stacked Exmor RS sensor with 66.8 MP and BIONZ XR2™ processor. Up to 16 stops of dynamic range and advanced RAW workflows, including Pixel Shift Multi Shooting, allow more flexibility than ever before to optimize every detail in post-production.
Fast and smart at the same time
Blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 30 fps and AF/AE tracking capture every decisive moment. The further improved AI-based real-time detection autofocus (AF+) ensures precise subject detection and tracking, even with smaller or fast subjects - for successful shots in all conditions.
Natural, accurate image reproduction
Consistent, natural results with AI-based automatic white balance, improved noise reduction and enhanced color gradation. Tools such as D-Range Optimizer (up to LV8) and Composite RAW (HDR, NR, Pixel Shift) help to preserve details in bright areas and shadows, even in high contrast scenes.
Hardware for professional demands
Designed for demanding environments, the Alpha 7R VI features a high-resolution electronic viewfinder, backlit buttons and improved ergonomics for reliable handling in all conditions. The revised power supply system and dual USB-C ports guarantee reliable performance, longer shooting times and efficient data processing on set.
Process high-resolution files in an instant thanks to fast and stable transmission with Wi-Fi 6 (6 GHz). Dual USB-C connections allow for simultaneous power and data transfer, enabling smooth, uninterrupted workflows from capture to final result.
Stunning resolution and contrast
An optimized dual Gaussian lens with two aspherical elements (including a precision AA element) has been combined with an ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass element to eliminate curvature and distortion. At the same time, resolution and contrast are optimized throughout the image, even at the widest aperture and across all focusing distances.
Versatility and beautiful bokeh thanks to an aperture of F1.4
With the F1.4 maximum aperture, images with shallow depth of field and smooth, beautiful bokeh can be achieved. A fast maximum aperture like this also allows you to shoot with fast shutter speeds in low-light conditions. Of course, a smaller aperture can also be set if needed to achieve a greater depth of field.
11 blades for bokeh with natural highlights
Although the circular aperture design of Sony typically uses up to 9 blades, this lens has 11 blades, providing a whole new level of bokeh quality. Natural-looking highlights in the out-of-focus areas enhance the overall atmosphere and provide a smooth impression of depth.
Ring motor autofocus
The ring-drive SSM (Super Sonic wave Motor) system enables fast and accurate positioning of the lens' heavy focus group, bringing out the best in high-resolution camera bodies. Fast and accurate focusing is required to realize the full potential of a high-resolution camera body when shooting photos and videos.
Convenient fingertip control
Aperture control is intuitive thanks to the physical aperture ring. A Zoomlock switch allows you to activate and deactivate the aperture steps on the aperture ring as needed. When shooting movies, it is recommended to DISABLE the aperture stops, while tactile feedback is often helpful when shooting stills. There is also a focus adjustment switch for easy switching between manual and automatic focus.
Outstanding colors and contrasts
ZEISS® lenses are known for their excellent color and contrast reproduction. The ZEISS® T* coating is crucial in this regard, as it helps to avoid unwanted reflections that can degrade image quality. Ghosting and light effects are reduced in favor of vibrant colors and contrasts that add depth and three-dimensionality to your images.
