Tamron 18-300mm f3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD Sony E-Mount

The 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 covers a wide focal length range from approximately 27mm to 450mm (35mm equivalent). It is the world’s first Zoom lens from Tamron with 16.6x magnification for mirrorless APS-C cameras and offers all the advantages of all-in-one Zoom lenses, which are suitable for a wide range of photographic applications.

The autofocus system is based on an exceptionally quiet and responsive linear motor featuring VXD technology (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive). The lens’s optical design incorporates high-precision specialty glass elements that ensure consistently high resolution performance. In terms of image quality, the 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 holds a leading position in the class of all-in-one Zoom lenses.

With a minimum focusing distance of 0.15 m in wide-angle mode and a maximum reproduction ratio of 1:2, this lens also impresses with close-up capabilities that are surprisingly good for this lens class. The 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 features the VC (Vibration Compensation) image stabilization developed by Tamron, which enables sharp handheld shots even at very long telephoto focal lengths. As with other Tamron lenses for mirrorless system cameras, the filter thread diameter is 67 mm.
