With the 35-100mm F2.8 Di III VXD, Tamron is expanding its portfolio with a particularly compact and lightweight premium Zoom lens with a continuous F2.8 aperture. Developed as a deliberate alternative to the multi-award-winning 35-150mm F2-2.8 Di III VXD (model A058), the new model is aimed at users who appreciate high image quality, a pleasant bokeh and a significantly reduced size and weight.

With an overall length of just 119.2 mm and a weight of just 565 g, the lens fits comfortably in any photo bag and is ideal for portrait, travel and reportage photography. The proven VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor technology ensures fast, precise and quiet autofocus - ideal for reliably capturing natural facial expressions and fleeting moments.
Its excellent tracking performance is even suitable for the unpredictable movements of children and pets. In addition, its quiet operation is ideal for photos and videos in noise-sensitive environments.

Thanks to a close focusing distance of just 0.22 m in the wide-angle range, the lens also opens up creative possibilities for detailed close-ups, such as tabletop or indoor subjects. Compatibility with the Tamron Lens Utility software enables individual adjustments for photo and video applications. The overall package is rounded off by high-quality workmanship, a uniform filter size of 67 mm and a high level of operating comfort.

The 35-100 mm F2.8 was developed with particular care in terms of the operability of the rings to ensure comfortable everyday photography. Improvements to the internal structure and greater precision of the ring mechanism ensure smooth and consistent movement. In addition, carefully selected friction materials provide natural torque and intuitive focus and Zoom control.

Creativity at close range - ideal for indoor photography

With a minimum object distance (MOD) of 0.22 m in the wide-angle range (maximum magnification 1:3.3), this lens enables close-ups of your subject. It is ideal for tabletop shots in cafés and interiors and transforms everyday scenes into artistic images that are enhanced by the bokeh of the F2.8 aperture.

Compatible with the TAMRON Lens Utility™ application

The 35-100 mm F2.8 is compatible with Tamron Lens Utility, the dedicated application available as a mobile version (iOS (2) and Android (3) OS) and PC version (4). Without special video or photo equipment, users can assign practical functions (5) to the lens to improve the shooting experience. Firmware updates are available via the PC version. (6)
