Compact dual Zoom fisheye for APS-C

The focal length range enables two characteristic image styles: at 4.5mm the lens creates a circular fisheye effect,
while at 10mm it creates an image-filling diagonal fisheye look.

The lens has an angle of view of up to 180°, a continuous speed of f/2.8 and a closest focusing distance of 10 cm. The parfocal design ensures that sharpness is maintained when Zooming. This makes the Laowa 4.5-10mm suitable for a wide range of applications - including landscape and astrophotography, action sports, video recording and creative photography. Thanks to the Zoom function, it is possible to switch between the two fisheye effects without changing the lens, which increases flexibility in photo and video applications. The diagonal fisheye effect can also be removed from the image. Shot at 10mm, images are created that are even wider than those of a conventional 10mm wide-angle lens. Thanks to the optimized image angle alignment, unwanted objects such as the camera handle or fingers are excluded from the image section. The constant aperture of f/2.8 over the entire 4.5-10mm Zoom range offers outstanding performance even in low light conditions. It ensures an even light output and is ideal for difficult conditions such as astrophotography, indoor photography or evening shoots

. The short focusing distance of 10cm makes it possible to capture subjects at close range with a pronounced visual effect. In combination with the fisheye effect of the lens, a particularly striking distortion is created, which ensures unusual and expressive perspectives. At very close shooting distances, this effect is intensified to create a so-called bugeye look: subjects appear disproportionately large and take on a dynamic, almost comic-like appearance - a stylistic device that gives photos and videos an unmistakable visual language. On both APS-C and MFT sensors, the lens creates a completely circular fisheye image that fills the entire sensor area. The optical design of 13 elements in 9 groups is remarkably compact and lightweight. This design makes it ideal for traveling and hand-held shooting.
