The Tamron 100-400mm F/4.5-6.3 Di VC USD (model A035) is an extremely lightweight and compact telephoto lens with high imaging performance and AF precision. Thanks to LD (low dispersion) glass, chromatic aberrations are a thing of the past. Tamrons eBAND (Extended Bandwidth & Angular-Dependency) coating suppresses reflections and delivers vivid images with amazing clarity.
Thanks to a lens barrel made primarily of magnesium, the 100-400mm has the lightest weight in its class*, making it ideal for shooting freehand for extended periods of time.
Be more flexible thanks to a close focus distance of 1.5 m and a maximum magnification of 1:3.6, as well as the increased speed and accuracy of autofocus. The 100-400mm's moisture-resistant construction and fluorine-coated front lens provide added protection when shooting in the great outdoors.
Excellent autofocus performance and an improved VC image stabilizer
Precise AF tracking and VC (Vibration Compensation) are essential to ultra-telephoto lens performance. The dual MPU unit from Tamron helps make this possible. In addition to the processor unit for fast AF signal processing, the 100-400mm has another unit dedicated solely to image stabilization.
With optimal AF tracking and improved VC image stabilizer, you can shoot your favorite subjects with ease, even in low light.

Nachdem ich das Objektiv wegen schlechter Schärfeleistung beinahe wieder zurückgeschicht hätte, kann ich jeden, der sich in eine ähnlichen Situation befindet (Front- Backfokus etc.) nicht mit der Konsole von Tamron "rumzuspielen" sondern das Objektiv mit dem Kamerabody zur kostenlosen Justage zu Tamro nach Köln zu schicken. Dort wird unbürokratisch geholfen. Das Hin- und Hersenden kostet ca. 1 Woche aber das Resultat ist einwandfrei. Ich hatte vorher das Nikkor 200-500, das war zwar schon auf Anhieb "knackescharf", wer aber nicht immer über 2 Kilo mitschleppen möchte und mit Fremdherstellern keine Probleme hat, ausserdem wiegt das Tamron gerade mal ca. 1 Kilo, der wird mit diesem "Schnäppchen" tolle Aufnahmen zaubern können. Der Autofokus ist rasend schnell, dagegen ist das große Nikon ein "lahme Ente". Ich habe das Objektiv im Set mit der Stativschelle hier supergünstig gekauft und bin jetzt nach der Justage bei Tamron Deutschland (alles kostenfrei) top zufrieden.
