The lens construction consists of 13 elements in 10 groups, including 2 aspherical lenses. These ensure high image sharpness, low colour fringing and very good control of distortion
. In addition to the integrated tulip-shaped lens hood, an additional external lens hood can be attached. This is equipped with a 77mm filter thread, allowing standard screw-in filters to be used without any problems. When the aperture is closed, the 8 blades of the diaphragm create striking and uniform aperture stars - particularly visible with point light sources such as street lamps, fairy lights or sunbeams.
The compact design makes it ideal for traveling, hiking or street photography. Both aperture selection and focusing are fully manual, allowing precise work and conscious creative control.
