The APO-LANTHAR 28 mm F2.0 with VM bayonet sets new standards among Voigtländer wide-angle lenses. It offers the highest resolution and color correction of all previous Voigtländer lenses of this focal length.

Optimized for digital full-frame cameras with VM mount (as well as for analogue models), it is the most powerful 28 mm lens Voigtländer has ever developed.

The optical construction impresses with

• Apochromatic color correction to eliminate chromatic aberration
• Two double-sided aspherical lenses
• Five elements with anomalous partial dispersion
• A floating mechanism to optimize imaging performance at close range
• High-quality multi-coating to minimize stray light and reflections

The image quality impresses with high resolution, excellent colour fidelity and minimized aberrations.

With an overall length of just 50.0 mm from the bayonet mount, the APO-LANTHAR 28 mm F2.0 VM is extremely compact. The 12 almost circular aperture blades ensure a harmonious bokeh, especially with point light sources.

The precise rangefinder mechanism and the finely tuned full metal helicoid ring enable an exact and at the same time pleasant manual focusing experience - in the spirit of classic rangefinder photography.

The minimum focusing distance via the rangefinder is 0.7 m (depending on the camera); the focus can be extended to 0.5 m in manual mode. Thanks to the floating element, the optical performance remains at the highest level even for close-ups

. The scope of delivery includes a specially designed metal lens hood, which effectively reduces stray light and prevents vignetting. It can also be attached to the lens upside down if required.
