Voigtländer Nokton 40mm f1.2 II VM asph. black
The Voigtländer 40 mm F1.2 Nokton II VM combines modern high performance with the timeless charm of classic lens design. Two double-sided aspherical lens elements guarantee excellent image quality - even at open aperture. The large maximum aperture of F1.2 enables a soft, smooth bokeh and opens up creative scope in available light.
Differences to version I
The overall weight has been further reduced (315 g → 267 g) and the filter ring is now completely black (instead of silver).
Despite its exceptional speed, the lens remains surprisingly compact: with a length that is ideal for working with rangefinder cameras and a weight of just 267 g (without accessories), it is light and balanced in the hand. The short length also reduces vignetting in the viewfinder image - a real advantage when working with optical viewfinders
. The optical construction comprises eight elements in six groups, including two aspherical lenses on both sides. The close focusing distance in rangefinder mode is 0.7 m - with Live View it is even possible to focus down to 0.5 m.
Together with a high-quality lubricant, the precisely manufactured focusing unit made of solid metal ensures velvety-smooth, sensitive focusing - perfect for demanding manual photography.
The lens is attached via a VM mount, which is fully compatible with the Leica M mount. The lens not only harmonizes with classic rangefinder cameras, but also cuts an outstanding figure on mirrorless digital cameras with an adapter - both technically and optically
. For optimum protection against stray light, the optionally available metal lens hood is recommended. This is available either as a compact version (LH-14) or in a longer version (LH-15). Both models can be mounted upside down to save space during transportation.
