The products of Sun Sniper originate from the Hamburg area, more precisely from the Lüneburg Heath. The company was founded in 2009 by professional photographer Wolfgang-Peter Geller, who also distributes the products of sister company California Sunbounce. The product range was completely revised in 2016 and replaced with proprietary features that beginners and professional photographers alike will enjoy. The main eye-catchers of the Sun Sniper products are comfort and ease of use. Innovation further optimised

The revised products have a so-called Rotaball connector that connects the camera to the strap. Inside this connector is a stainless steel ball mounted on a ball bearing made of 24 other balls. This construction makes it possible to turn your camera at any time without any problems, so that the camera strap itself always remains fixed to the body. The camera is screwed to the construction. The so-called blokker prevents it from coming loose against its will. This innovation significantly increases comfort and safety when transporting the camera. The "small" Sun Sniper straps are placed over the shoulder and extend to the opposite hip. Along this line, the camera can be moved comfortably without anything slipping. In addition, the models are locked around the chest using the PITT additional strap. This prevents the shoulder pad from moving. This allows you to reach for the camera and pull it up against you if you need to use it quickly. Or the camera hangs comfortably on your hip and both hands are free. Unlike conventional straps, the neck is not strained at all and the strap does not rub against the skin.

For more demanding situations where a lot of equipment needs to be carried, Sun Sniper offers a solution to integrate an equivalent strap directly into the camera backpack. Features such as the Rotaball Connector, Blokker and Limiter are also guaranteed. The straps even hold heavy SLR cameras weighing up to five kilograms!

Protection against shocks and theft

Depending on the model, a shock absorber is also built in to cushion shocks in the strap. This prevents the camera from moving unpleasantly when hanging. Some models also have a limiter. This ensures that the camera only slides on the strap up to the previously set position and does not swing back and forth too much. But the real highlight lies in Sun Sniper's safety system. The straps cannot be cut because a steel wire in the fabric prevents tears. This leaves no chance for thieves to mug them while wearing the strap and steal the camera.
