Condition B - normal, slight signs of use
The Olympus OM-1 is one of the best-known and most popular analog SLR cameras of the 1970s. It founded the compact OM system and set new standards in terms of ergonomics, reliability and mechanical precision. The camera is completely mechanical and works independently of batteries - these are only required for the integrated light meter.
This example is in condition B and shows slight signs of use on the housing due to its age. The camera has been tested and is in working order. Shutter speeds run smoothly, the film advance works reliably and the shutter release reacts precisely. The viewfinder is clear, there may be dust inclusions due to age, but these do not impair use.
The OM-1 impresses with its large, bright viewfinder, which enables precise manual focusing - particularly appreciated when working with fast fixed focal lengths. The intuitive operating concept allows direct control over time and aperture and makes the camera an ideal tool for conscious, decelerated photography.
Thanks to its robust metal construction, the Olympus OM-1 is extremely durable and still ideally suited for practical use today. It is compatible with a wide range of Zuiko lenses, which are known for their outstanding optical quality.
Whether as an introduction to analog photography, as a reliable second camera or as a collector's item - the Olympus OM-1 remains a timeless classic with character and history.
