The UWP-D series impresses with excellent sound quality thanks to digital signal processing, stable RF transmission, true dual-tuner diversity reception and intuitive operation. This makes it ideal for use in electronic news gathering (ENG), electronic field production (EFP), documentaries and wedding productions

. The UWP-D21 wireless microphone system consists of the UTX-B40 bodypack transmitter, the URX-P40 receiver, the ECM-V1BMP omnidirectional lavalier microphone and matching accessories.

Digital audio processing for high sound quality

The improved digital audio processing technology from Sony ensures high sound quality and better response performance for transient signals. A new [optional] digital audio interface enables direct digital audio recording with many Sony professional camcorders and Alpha interchangeable lens cameras via the SMAD-P5 MI (Multi Interface) shoe adapter. The A/D and D/A conversion steps are bypassed to ensure excellent sound quality.

Seamless camcorder integration

Integration with compatible* camcorders from Sony (requires SMAD-P5 MI Shoe Adapter) displays audio information such as RF level meter, audio mute status and low transmitter battery alarm in the camera's viewfinder. Audio signals are transmitted from the receiver to the camera via the SMAD-P5 without the need for a cable connection. The radio receiver can also be supplied with power via the camera. Synchronized on/off switching between camera and receiver ensures more effective power management

Fast, easy frequency setting

The unique, user-friendly NFC-SYNC function of Sony enables fast, intuitive and secure channel setting between transmitter and receiver.
