Thanks to Tascam's many years of experience in audio technology and the high-quality A/D converters, the CA-XLR2d delivers clean, noise-free and professional sound at a resolution of 16 or 24 bits and sampling frequencies of 48 kHz or 96 kHz. The included audio processing functions such as auto level, depth filter and limiter can be called up via practical switches.

CA-XLR2d-C and CA-XLR2d-F transmit a digital audio signal directly to the camera via a compatible accessory shoe. This eliminates a second conversion step that could cause noise or distortion, and can also be powered from the camera

If your camera's hot shoe can neither handle a digital audio signal nor power the Tascam microphone adapter, the CA-XLR2d-AN is suitable for virtually any camera that has an analog audio input. Attach the included battery box (two AA batteries) and connect the CA-XLR2d's analog output to the camera's microphone or audio input using the included stereo audio cable
