The 6-channel, 14-track field audio recorder/mixer was developed for demanding professional applications and delivers the highest audio quality in any environment. With its six individually adjustable inputs, equipped with lockable Neutrik XLR sockets, it offers maximum flexibility for use with different microphones and audio sources. The outstanding microphone preamps provide up to 75 dB gain with extremely low self-noise of less than -127 dBu EIN, ensuring clear, clean and detailed recordings

. Thanks to switchable +4 dB inputs with mic/line option, the device adapts effortlessly to different setups. The Advanced Look-Ahead Hybrid Limiter reliably protects against unwanted level peaks, while the integrated Zoom AutoMix™ software dynamically reduces background noise and greatly simplifies mixing.

The precise timecode input and output (0.2 ppm), which can be implemented via a 3.5 mm stereo mini jack, guarantees perfect synchronization with professional video workflows - including drop frame and non-drop formats as well as Jam Sync.

For maximum operational readiness, three flexible power supply options are available: 4 AA batteries, an Sony L-Series rechargeable battery or the Zoom AD-17 power supply unit. An unbalanced 3.5 mm stereo output and a powerful 100 mW headphone output enable convenient monitoring.

The recorder supports SD/SDHC/SDXC cards up to 512 GB and can also be operated as a USB audio interface with 6 inputs and 4 outputs (up to 96 kHz). Simultaneous recording to SD card is also possible (up to 48 kHz). With the free ZOOM F6 Control app for iOS, all functions can be conveniently controlled wirelessly, including file naming and metadata management - ideal for professional productions, documentaries, interviews and mobile recording setups.
