With the compact Panasonic DMC-G81 with the 14-140mm + 100-400mm lens, you'll take pictures with outstanding image quality. Its weatherproof body makes it perfect for outdoor activities.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-G81
The LUMIX DMC-G81 impresses with a variety of advanced technologies and practical features in a robust and compact body.
With the latest cutting-edge technology such as sensor without low-pass filter, Dual I.S. image stabilizer, DFD contrast autofocus, high-resolution 4K photo/video as well as movable touchscreen LCD monitor and large OLED viewfinder, the G81 scores with many detail improvements.
The robust magnesium housing with its numerous direct-access controls is easy to operate and splash-proof and dust-proof.
In addition to 4K videos, the 4K photo function can also record motion sequences and action scenes at 30 fps and 8 MP resolution. With the Post Focus function, the optimally focused photo can be selected from a series of images with different focus. The Focus Stacking function allows to generate a partial or front-to-back sharp photo from multiple frames.
The 5-axis Dual I.S. image stabilizer works even more effectively thanks to a new motion sensor and improved computing algorithms. It can compensate for camera shake up to 5 EV steps.
The 16-megapixel Digital Live MOS sensor without low-pass filter, together with the new, specially tuned Venus Engine image processor, promises stunning image quality. With the mechanical shutter, an electromagnetic drive reduces vibration and noise. With silent electronic shutter, the fastest shutter speed is 1/16,000s.
Image control is via a large OLED viewfinder with 2.4 million pixels.
Panasonic Lumix G Vario 14-140mm / F3.5-5.6 Power O.I.S (H-FS14140).
The LUMIX G VARIO 14-140mm is a 10x superzoom lens with compact dimensions equivalent to the standard 3x zooms found on many digital SLR cameras.
The Micro Four Thirds standard lens is recommended for a wide range of shooting situations from landscape to portrait with a Zoom range of 28-280mm (equivalent to KB).
The design of 14 lens elements in 12 groups also includes three aspherical lenses and two ED lenses, achieving a further reduction in size and weight while maintaining high optical performance throughout the Zoomrange.
Focusing is achieved via a responsive, precise and quiet internal focusing system driven by a stepper motor.
The lens harmonizes perfectly with the LUMIX G cameras' high-speed precision contrast AF system. The POWER O.I.S. optical image stabilizer ensures exceptionally clear shots even at telephoto and in low-light situations by effectively compensating for both fast and slower hand-motion blur.
The Zooms seven blades result in an almost circular aperture, which produces a harmonious blur of the background, especially at wider apertures.
Panasonic Leica 100-400mm 1:4-6.3 Power OIS
The LEICA DG VARIO-ELMAR has 20 lenses in 13 groups, including an aspherical ED element, two ED (Extra-low Dispersion) elements and one UED (Ultra Extra-low Dispersion) element. Despite the extreme telephoto focal length of 800mm (KB equivalent), the optimized arrangement of the lenses enables a very compact design while minimizing distortion and chromatic aberration. The magnification of 0.5x (KB) also makes it well suited for macro photography.
The high imaging performance over the entire focal length of the lens, in combination with the POWER O.I.S. image stabilizer, enables maximum sharpness even in extreme telephoto shots taken handheld. A tripod is thus rarely needed. In addition, the LEICA DG VARIO-ELMAR is compatible with Panasonic's exclusive Dual Image Stabilization, which provides even more efficient stabilization by combining the optical stabilizer with the LUMIX GX8's body image stabilizer.
A major strength of the new super telephoto lens is its compact design: the lens measures less than 18 centimeters in length and weighs less than one kilogram. Dust and splash protection make it the ideal companion for the LUMIX GH4 or GX8, for example for outdoor sports or wildlife photography.
A locking ring on the lens prevents unwanted changes to the set focal length. A movable tripod adapter on the lens allows quick changes from horizontal to vertical shots. Together with the high-quality metal barrel, the robust metal bayonet guarantees a long service life. The signal transfer rate of up to 240B/s also supports the fast and precise hybrid contrast autofocus of current LUMIX G cameras.
