A battery grip has been developed for exclusive use with the PENTAX K-3 Mark III. Like the camera, it features a dustproof, weather-resistant construction.

Good product. As is typical for Pentax, very high quality workmanship. The operating layout is almost identical to the camera itself, so you don't have to change your mind when switching between landscape and portrait format.Great additional features:- You can store 1 spare SD card in the battery compartment of the BG- the BG is designed so that no shaft is inserted into the battery compartment of the camera. One battery remains in the camera, the second is then in the BG. (For comparison: with Canon, the battery must be removed from the camera and inserted into the BG so that the shaft can be inserted) This makes it easier to change the camera with/without the BG.The only drawback:The screw lock can be tightened very strongly on my specimen, so that I needed a fair amount of force to release the BG from the camera again. The solution is simple: don't tighten the screw so much, but it's not user-friendly.

(zum Vergleich: Bei Canon muss der Akku aus der Kamera raus und in den BG gesteckt werden, so dass der Schaft eingeführt werden kann) Ein bequemer/schneller Wechsel der Kamera mit/ohne BG ist so leichter umsetzbar.
Einziges Manko:
Die Schraubarretierung lässt sich bei meinem Exemplar sehr stark anziehen, so dass ich gehörigen Kraftaufwand brauchte, den BG wieder von der Kamera zu lösen. Die Lösung ist einfach: Die Schraube nicht so fest anziehen, aber Userfreundlich ist das nicht.
