Sigma Mount Converter MC-21 Canon

The SIGMA Mount Converter MC-21 allows owners of SIGMA interchangeable lenses with EF mounts (for Canon) to use their lenses on L-mount camera bodies. This converter provides more freedom of choice for L-mount cameras, enhancing the expandability of the L-mount system.

By using the MC-21 on compatible SIGMA interchangeable lenses with an EF mount (for Canon), they can be used as L-mount system lenses to promote the effective use of valuable lenses already in place.

29 interchangeable lenses are available for use on L-mount cameras

The MC-21 increases the number of interchangeable lenses manufactured by SIGMA that can be used with the L-mount system by 29 lenses. Thanks to compatibility with the auto crop function, DC lenses designed for the APS-C format can also be used on a camera body with a 35mm full-frame sensor.

Based on the LED indicator and the color of the LED indicator, it is immediately apparent whether the mounted lens is compatible or not. Likewise, the LED indicates if a lens firmware update is available.

Pre-implemented lens data

Due to the utilization of the pre-implemented data of the respective lens in the MC-21 by the special control program, autofocus and iris control have been optimized. With respect to lenses that will be released in the future, the data for the operation of these lenses on the MC-21 will be stored in the lens. This means that no firmware update will be required to use future lenses on the MC-21. In addition, the MC-21 also supports camera correction features such as vignetting, lateral chromatic aberration, and distortion.

Equipped with a tripod base

Equipped with a base for attaching to a tripod. Lenses that are not equipped with a tripod mount can be used by mounting the tripod on the MC-21.

The special surface inside the tube prevents reflections

To counteract deterioration of lens performance and prevent reflections inside, the inner surface is equipped with a special surface.

Integration of Exif data

Information such as lens type, focal length, aperture value and other identifiers are integrated into the Exif data of image files.

Note on the use of the SIGMA Mount Converter MC-21 when used in combination with the Panasonic LUMIX S1 and Panasonic LUMIX S1R.

• Only AF-S is available as autofocus mode. AF-C cannot be selected.
• 'auto continuous operation' cannot be used when shooting video.
• Touch AF cannot be used.
• For lenses with MO (manual override) function, manual focus operation is only available after focusing.
• MF indicator is not available.
• The image stabilization function of the camera and that of the lens cannot be used simultaneously. Please make sure to use only one of them.
• The AF function button and focus preset button available on some lenses cannot be used.
