This extended warranty extends your warranty period by 3 additional years. The extended warranty covers electronic and mechanical failure and there are no additional repair costs.

Extended Warranty
The cost of repairing the product, including labor and material costs resulting from mechanical or electrical failure, from the date of product purchase to (and including) the date of expiration of this extended warranty, as stated in your certificate, is covered. However, the effect of this extended warranty is automatically voided if you make a claim that you know is false, fraudulent, or contains untrue statements.

This service is available for up to 360 days after the date of purchase of the main unit.

Extended warranty is available for all Sony Bodies, Camcorders, Cameras and Lenses (soft bundles require the purchase of an extended warranty for each component).

The extended warranty is only accepted if you have registered both your product and your extended warranty.
Once the 360-day period from the date of purchase of the product has expired, you will no longer be able to register and activate the extended warranty for your product.

Registration must be completed no later than 360 days after purchase of the Product and you must provide proof of purchase of the Product and retain proof of purchase.
