Outstanding picture quality

The monitor impresses with the highest resolution (1920 x 1200), a very good contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a maximum brightness of 300 cd/m². For example, you can edit graphics and images with pixel accuracy. And: the text contours are clear and precise. The LCD module with IPS panel allows a viewing angle of 178 degrees.

Smooth transitions and gradients thanks to 16-bit LUT and 10-bit mode

The LUT (look-up table) of the CS2400R calculates internally with an extremely high color depth of 16 bits and the panel then outputs the signals with up to 10 bits

This means that billions of color tones are available for calculating the precise monitor display. This effectively prevents display errors caused by the monitor, such as banding or clipping, which result in tonal breaks in gradients or color casts in the greyscale. Even fine nuances and structures in dark or heavily saturated areas of the image are displayed in a differentiated and detailed manner.

Perfect ex works

To ensure that a ColorEdge is ready for use straight out of the box, every single ColorEdge CS2400R is individually measured and optimally adjusted at the factory. The gamma curves of the red, green and blue channels are closely checked and, if necessary, corrected. This unique EIZO factory calibration allows the user to use the monitor with the preset color spaces right out of the box. This elaborate factory calibration is also the reason why recalibration with the ColorNavigator by the user is so fast.

Digital Uniformity Equalizer

Each individual monitor panel is precisely measured over the entire surface in the EIZO factory. Any inhomogeneities in brightness and color casts are detected and removed. This process (Digital Uniformity Equalizer) guarantees that identical colors always look the same over the entire service life of the monitor, regardless of where they are displayed. This is the only way to ensure precise image editing and retouching.

Calibration report

Each ColorEdge CS2400R comes with an individual calibration report that shows the measurement results of the monitor's factory calibration. The report documents the homogeneity, gamma curve, colour space coverage and white point of the monitor.

Hardware calibration without compromise

To ensure that a monitor always displays the same file in the same way over its entire service life, regular calibration is essential. All ColorEdge monitors use the lossless hardware calibration process for this purpose. Unlike software calibration, where there is always a risk of loss of display quality, hardware calibration not only creates a correction profile for the graphics card, but also adjusts the LUT (Look-Up-Table) of the monitor

EIZO software for quick calibration and printing

Every monitor ages and changes its display properties in the process. This is why graphics monitors, which require an absolutely constant image display over their entire service life, need to be calibrated and corrected regularly. With the free ColorNavigator 7 calibration software from EIZO, the ColorEdge CS2400R can be corrected easily and loss-free within 90 seconds (measured with MacBook Pro and EX4).

The free Quick Color Match software helps users to see how their images will look when printed on their home Canon or Epson inkjet printer, even without in-depth color management knowledge. This means that the images can be optimized for the special properties of the selected photo paper before printing and expensive misprints can be avoided.

This microchip is the brain of every ColorEdge and the guarantee for the precise, uniform and consistent image display for which EIZO is known

State-of-the-art connectivity with USB-C

image signal, USB data transfer and power supply with up to 70 W, all this and more can be realized with a single USB-C cable. This makes the ColorEdge CS2400R the central dock of the graphic workflow. Peripheral devices such as a mouse, keyboard or printer can be connected directly to the USB-A ports. Mobile devices such as laptops or tablets can even be charged with up to 70 W via the USB-C cable. This turns a laptop and CS2400R into a fully-fledged desktop workstation in no time at all.

One monitor, many connections

The CS2400R supports a wide range of video formats via USB-C, HDMI and DisplayPort interfaces. This means that the monitor can not only be integrated into PC-based workflows, but can also be used with HDMI players.

KVM switch

It has never been easier to operate different PCs with a single mouse and keyboard. Thanks to the USB upstream ports, the CS2400R has an integrated KVM (Keyboard Video Mouse) switch. The monitor automatically links the mouse and keyboard to the currently active source computer. This means, for example, that a desktop PC and laptop or even a business and private PC can each be operated on the same combination of monitor, mouse and keyboard. This ensures uninterrupted working and a tidy workspace.
