The 24 MP full-frame sensor ensures wide dynamic range and very low-noise image quality thanks to Dual Native-ISO technology. Even higher resolutions are possible with the High Resolution mode, which creates detailed images at 96 MP in RAW or JPG.
Another highlight is provided by the internal 5-axis image stabilization, which, in combination with lens stabilization, allows up to 6.5 stops longer exposure time without blur.

Improved autofocus uses Deep Learning technology to recognize eyes , head and body for significantly faster and more precise focusing in photo and movie shooting.
Professional video recording is achievable through max 4K 60p 4:2:2 10 bit with 14+ f-stops dynamic range in Vlog, HDR, slow motion & fast motion as well as various audio solutions.

The LUMIX S 50mm F1.8 is suitable for a wide range of subjects - from portraits to landscapes. It also ensures high-quality video recording by minimizing focus breathing as best as possible. The aperture can be adjusted in extremely small steps, making exposure changes almost stepless - another feature for professional video recording. Weighing only about 300g, the lens is so compact that it can easily be taken along to any shoot. The rugged, dust- and splash-proof construction also withstands use in harsh conditions, even at minus 10 degrees.

Sophisticated lens design for best image quality

The LUMIX S 50mm F1.8 is composed of nine lens elements in eight groups, including three aspherical lenses, one ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) lens and one UHR (Ultra-High-Refractive Index) lens. The use of three aspherical lenses enables both high imaging performance and an attractive bokeh effect with smooth sharpness-blur transitions. The ED lens, in turn, effectively suppresses chromatic aberration. Finally, the nine circular aperture blades ensure particularly round imaging of point light sources.
