The Pentax K-S2 is a small, compact waterproof and dustproof SLR camera with excellent image quality.

The camera is equipped with 100 seals that protect the body against dust and water ingress and is very robust.

The Pentax K-S2 is equipped with a large glass prism viewfinder for perfect focus control and has a 3-inch monitor that can be rotated and tilted for wonderful selfie shots.

Brilliant and sharp pictures are only possible thanks to an autofocus that adjusts the distance to the subject particularly precisely. Depending on the requirements, the photographer can choose between 5-field or 11-field metering, spot metering, auto-tracking or manual focus field selection. On the other hand, the focus can be set individually via the AF memory button (Auto Focus). In Live View mode, contrast metering with face detection and focus field selection are visible on the entire display.

The built-in Wi-Fi module with NFC connectivity lets you remotely control the camera via smartphone and quickly and easily share your photos with others.

Special optical glass, including two ED glass elements, three aspherical lens elements, and outstanding coating ensure very good contrast performance, consistent sharpness right to the edges, and particularly clear reproduction of the finest details. In addition to the outstanding imaging properties, PENTAX engineers have also raised the mechanical properties of this lens to top level. Built-in ultrasonic motors (Supersonic motors)in the lenses ensure quiet and fast autofocus drive. In addition, this lens is weather sealed and safely protected against dust penetration.

For the coating of the front lenses Pentax uses special fluoride compounds, the SP("Super Protect") technology. Here, the front lens is coated with a special coating. This nano-technology protects the front lens from dust, fingerprints or greasy residues. If necessary, such contaminants can be easily removed. The Pentax "Quick Shift Focus System" allows the photographer to change the focus as desired after automatic focusing. This means that direct manual fine-tuning of the focus is possible at any time without switching off the autofocus.
