The Pentax K-S2 is a small, compact waterproof and dustproof SLR camera with excellent image quality.

The camera is equipped with 100 seals that protect the body against dust and water ingress and is very robust.

The Pentax K-S2 is equipped with a large glass prism viewfinder for perfect focus control and has a 3-inch monitor that can be rotated and tilted for wonderful selfie shots.

Brilliant and sharp images are only made possible by an autofocus that adjusts the distance to the subject with particular precision. Depending on the requirements, the photographer can choose between 5-field or 11-field metering, spot metering, auto-tracking or manual focus field selection. On the other hand, the focus can be set individually via the AF memory button (Auto Focus). In Live View mode, contrast metering with face detection and focus field selection are visible on the entire display.

The built-in Wi-Fi module with NFC connectivity lets you remotely control the camera via smartphone and quickly and easily share your photos with others.

Pentax 18-270 mm 3.5-6.3 ED SDM

Thanks to the built-in ultrasonic motor, the DA 18-270 mm f/3.5~6.3 ED SDM focuses very precisely while operating extremely smoothly, almost inaudibly quietly and very quickly when used on an SDM-compatible camera. With the PENTAX K bayonet, SDM autofocus is automatically activated to ensure smooth autofocus operation.

A great deal of know-how from PENTAX's decades of experience in developing optical equipment and products went into the development of this digital lens. In order to give the DA 18-270 mm f/3.5~6.3 ED SDM particularly high sharpness and imaging performance, two special ED (Extra-low Distortion) lens elements have been incorporated. They ensure brilliant image reproduction right into the corners and particularly low chromatic aberrations.
As a special feature, PENTAX shaped the seven blades of the aperture so that the aperture is not polygonal, but always perfectly round. As a result, contours and light effects outside the plane of focus appear very harmonious, and point light sources are reproduced free of streaks. In addition, the DA 18-270 mm f/3.5~6.3 ED SDM draws a fantastically perfect, soft bokeh.

The maximum aperture of 1:3.5, in combination with the opto-magnetic shake reduction system built into digital PENTAX cameras with K bayonet, grants the photographer additional creative possibilities. Even in unfavorable lighting conditions, such as indoor shots, overcast skies or at dusk, the large aperture still allows fast shutter speeds and thus blur-free images, even without a conspicuous flash or costly additional lighting.
