Its elegant design, versatility and functionality make the compact X-E3 a stunning mirrorless system camera that also makes creative photography really fun.

The large touchscreen display on the back of the camera makes shooting even more intuitive with familiar functions like "Touch Shot," "Touch AF," and "Focus Area Selection." In addition, the new "Touch Function" offers additional ways to control the camera using finger gestures. A new autofocus algorithm provides a performance boost, especially when automatically tracking moving objects.

Compact and lightweight body
The X-E3 is the handiest viewfinder camera in the X series. It's so compact and lightweight that it's a pleasure to take along every day for everyday use and travel. The body is optimally balanced and sits comfortably in the hand thanks to the distinctive recessed grip. The camera also has a focus joystick. It can be used to adjust the focus area conveniently and quickly without having to take the camera away from your eye.

On the top of the camera, there are two mechanical aluminum dials that perfectly complement the high-quality design and provide the user with appealing haptic feedback for each setting. One of the dials is used to set the exposure time, while the other is used for exposure compensation. The exposure compensation dial has a C position, which can be used to extend the correction up to ±5 EV steps.

In addition, the X-E3 has an AUTO mode that can be easily turned on and off as needed via a switch on top of the camera. When activated, the camera detects the scene and automatically selects an appropriate setting.

Outstanding image quality and faster response time
The combination of the 24.3-megapixel APS-C format X-Trans CMOS III sensor and X Processor Pro delivers outstanding image quality and speed. After switching on, the camera is ready for the first shot in just 0.4 seconds, and the shutter release time is virtually imperceptible at just 0.050 seconds. The X-E3's performance is also evident during shooting. The shooting interval is 0.25 seconds, and thanks to a wide autofocus range and an improved algorithm, the camera focuses on the subject in just 0.06 seconds. Due to the also newly developed subject detection algorithm, the X-E3 is also able to track even smaller moving objects twice as fast as the previous generation of cameras.

Wireless connectivity with Bluetooth function
The X-E3 is the first camera in the X series to be equipped with a low-power Bluetooth function. Even before shooting, the camera can be connected to a smartphone or tablet. Using the "FUJIFILM Camera Remote" app, images can then be easily transferred with minimal power consumption.

Intuitive Touchscreen Operation
The 7.6 cm (3-inch) monitor has 1.04 million pixels and offers a touchscreen function. When "Touch Mode" is activated, one of the following capture and playback modes can be selected:

Capture Modes
- Focus Area Selection: The user determines the active focus point directly on the display by tapping on the corresponding image area.
- Touch Shot: The camera focuses on the tapped image area and triggers.

Playback modes
- Swipe: You can swipe your finger across the image to view one shot at a time.
- Enlarge image: When tapped twice, the image is magnified and centered on the focus point.
- Move: When the display is zoomed in, you can move the image section with your finger.
- Zoom in: If you drag two fingers apart on the display, an area of the image is displayed enlarged.
- Zoom out: If you pull two fingers together on the display, the enlarged image is zoomed out again.

These functions are automatically disabled when the touchscreen is turned off.

The camera also offers a "touch function" to quickly access previously defined functions by swiping up and down as well as right and left. While looking through the electronic viewfinder, the photographer can use his finger on the display to move the focus area. In the camera settings, the scope of the "touch function" can be set: "ALL," "RIGHT," "LEFT," or "OFF."

Ultra HD 4K Video Recording
The X-E3 records video in either Full HD or Ultra HD (4K). The popular movie simulations for which the X series is famous can also be applied to movie recording. Movie recording can also be controlled via an external monitor, which can be connected directly to the camera via an HDMI cable. The X-E3 also has an input for an external microphone.

Wide selection of high-quality lenses
With the newly introduced FUJINON XF80mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR Macro, FUJIFILM offers a total of 23 lenses and two teleconverters for the X series. The line-up covers the complete focal length range from ultra-wide-angle to super-telephoto. The range includes five particularly fast fixed focal lengths, which allow the high image quality of the X-E3 to be fully exploited. Separately available accessories, such as bayonet adapters and macro rings, further expand the camera's photographic potential.

Take excellent photos with this compact wide-angle lens from Fujifilm. The "XF 23mm F2 R" has ten lenses in six groups, two of which are aspherical. The optimal position of the aspherical lenses ensures excellent sharpness over the entire image area.

With its light 180 grams, the lens is particularly comfortable to carry around. The lens barrel is made of sturdy metal and conveys a special sense of value. The torque and intermediate steps of the focus and aperture ring allow optimal operability.

With internal focusing, a stepper motor moves the focus group quickly and quietly, so every moment is captured. The seals are very precise, so the inner workings of the lens are protected from splashing water and dust, and can withstand temperatures as low as -10°C.
