Details

Canon EOS 5D Mark IV

The Canon 5D Mark IV continues its legacy of powerful working cameras. It is a great option for photography and a capable 4K-capable video machine. This multimedia machine features a newly developed 30.4MP full-frame CMOS sensor coupled with the DIGIC 6+ image processor to balance fine detail and resolution with low light performance and sensitivity. It operates in a native range of ISO 100-32000, which can be expanded to an impressive ISO 50-102400, for sharp, low-noise images in a wide range of conditions. In addition to these image quality improvements, users can enjoy an enhanced AF system, built-in Wi-Fi, NFC and GPS, and more.

To quickly and effectively deliver detailed images, the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV harnesses the power of the DIGIC 6+ image processor, which can process up to 7 frames per second during continuous shooting. It also uses a 150,000-pixel RGB+IR metering sensor to evaluate the scene and subjects for accurate exposures under a variety of different lighting conditions. An improved 61-point High Density Reticular AF increases the camera's speed by quickly and accurately acquiring and locking onto subjects for razor-sharp photos. A new AF area selection button provides direct access to this setting.

In video, Dual Pixel CMOS AF and Movie Servo AF provide smooth focus tracking during a shot. Photographers can even use the 3.2-inch, 1.62m diagonal LCD to adjust the focus point with a simple tap. In addition, the camera can now record DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) video at up to 30 frames per second and create 8.8MP photos from the videos for even faster shooting. Coupled with the Dual Pixel sensor architecture is a brand new feature for Canon: Dual Pixel RAW, which allows fine-tuning of certain image parameters such as bokeh shift and focus micro-adjustment after shooting.

The housing has been further refined to improve comfort and accessibility, as well as durability and weather resistance. The Canon N3 remote connector has been moved to the front of the camera body, and both GPS and Wi-Fi with NFC have been added to make this model a connected camera.

30.4 MP full-frame CMOS sensor and DIGIC 6+ image processor.

In line with previous members of the main 5D series, the Mark IV attempts to balance high resolution and low-light performance with a newly developed 30.4 MP full-frame CMOS sensor. This provides a beneficial increase in overall resolution without compromising sensitivity. Additionally, thanks to the DIGIC 6+ image processor it is paired with, it offers impressive performance within a native range of ISO 100-32000, which can be extended to ISO 50-102400.

Versatility is the name of the game with the Canon EOS 5D, as it must be able to handle landscapes and weddings alike. Using a 150,000-pixel RGB+IR metering sensor, photographers can rely on the camera for difficult subjects. This sensor also features face detection as well as flicker detection, which can ensure proper exposure in less-than-ideal lighting situations. In addition, the camera offers an improved continuous shooting rate of 7 frames per second, making it a great option for events and action.

High Density Retina AF and Dual Pixel CMOS AF System

The Canon EOS 5D Mark IV features an improved High Density Reticular AF system with 61 phase-detecting points, 41 of which are cross-type and all operate up to a sensitivity of f/8. The center point can operate down to -3 EV to work in extremely low light conditions. Compared to previous versions, this sensor has expanded vertical coverage of 24% at the edges and 8% in the center to better track and locate subjects in the image.

In addition to improved tracking and focusing when using the optical viewfinder for stills, live view and video can now use Dual Pixel CMOS AF on the actual image sensor. This provides about 80% coverage of phase detection AF for faster and more accurate focusing in these modes. This is ideal for video, as the user can enjoy smoother focus in the rack without the drawbacks normally associated with contrast-based systems. Also, this works well with the touchscreen features, allowing the shooter to simply tap to adjust focus.

DCI 4K video recording

The Canon EOS 5D Mark IV is designed for both professional photo and video shooting and supports DCI 4K resolution (4096 x 2160) recording at up to 30 frames per second at 500 Mbps, as well as Full HD 1080p recording at 60 frames per second and HD 720p at 120 frames per second for slow motion playback. When recorded in-camera, 4K video has 4:2:2 sampling and 8-bit color depth, while Full HD 1080p footage has 4:2:0 sampling. Uncompressed Full HD 1080p video can also be stored via HDMI on an optional external recorder with 4:2:2 color sampling. 4K video is recorded using a central 4096 x 2160 area of the sensor with 1.74x cropping to record video with an ideal 1:1 pixel sampling ratio, while Full HD recording uses the entire image.

Audio can be recorded via the built-in stereo microphone, or optionally an external microphone can be used via the 3.5mm mic jack. Real-time audio monitoring is also possible via the 3.5mm headphone jack. 4K video recording also offers the ability to capture 8.8MP photos during playback on the rear touchscreen and save them as still images.

Dual Pixel RAW

First introduced on the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, Dual Pixel RAW allows photographers to record all the information that the sensor's unique pixel architecture can provide, providing the ability to make fine adjustments after the shot is taken. These adjustments include Focus Fine Tuning, which allows you to easily adjust the focus point to bring out additional detail, shift the bokeh for better composition, and reduce the effects of ghosting in your photos. This requires Digital Photo Professional 4.5 software from Canon.

Body design

The large 3.2" 1.62 diagonal Clear View II LCD monitor is anti-reflective for bright, vivid image reproduction and live view shooting. The touchscreen interface can be used for intuitive touch-to-focus control and adjustment of settings in the menus.

A dedicated AF mode selector button below the rear joystick provides further access to settings and allows quick, intuitive access to frequently changed options.
Two slots for CompactFlash and SD memory cards allow for expanded storage options through overflow recording or in-camera file type separation during shooting.

The Intelligent Viewfinder II uses a pentaprism design and provides a bright viewing option. When using the viewfinder, AF points are highlighted in red to improve visibility in low-light conditions. The viewfinder can also be configured to display a variety of other shooting aids, including an electronic level, grid, flicker detection, white balance, metering mode, AF information and other settings.

A Mirror Vibration Control System helps minimize mechanical vibration to better ensure sharpness during long exposures or fast continuous shooting.

The rugged magnesium alloy body is dust- and weather-resistant for use in harsh environments.
Other camera features

A built-in GPS module enables geotagging of images in the camera, as well as automatic time synchronization with the Universal Time Code via satellites. The module is compatible with U.S. GPS, Russian GLONASS and Japanese Quasi-Zenith-Michibiki satellites, providing broad support.
Digital Lens Optimizer technology compensates for a range of optical defects in various lenses, including chromatic aberration, distortion, peripheral brightness and diffraction, and the camera can store lens data to avoid having to re-register lenses before each use. The camera can handle this process in real time, providing JPEGs with the corrections already made.

A built-in intervalometer allows for time-lapse capture and supports recording 1-99 consecutive frames at preselected intervals from 1 second to 99 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds. Users can also set the camera to take unlimited pictures.
Built-in Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity enables wireless sharing, control and transfer of images with a compatible smart device as well as the CS100 Connect Station. Digital Photo Professional 4.5 software from Canon.

The long-awaited Canon EOS 5D Mark IV is here, offering consistently professional performance and stunning image quality.

Details matter

The 30.4-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor delivers low-noise images with tremendous detail, even in high brightness or darkness. With the higher resolution, nothing is lost and you can crop the image as needed without loss of quality.

Exceptional low-light shooting

Low-light characteristics have been optimized across the entire ISO range: Image noise has been significantly reduced and the maximum sensitivity has been increased to ISO 32,000 (expandable to ISO 102,400). This makes it possible to record reliably with high image quality even in low light.

In an instant

With the 61-point AF system that can track even abrupt movements, you'll always have the action in focus. To do this, the EOS 5D Mark IV's 61 AF points1 have been spread over a wider area - an 8 percent extension in the vertical direction and a 24 percent extension in the horizontal direction. This increases freedom in subject placement choices for image composition.

Fast focus tracking even in low-light conditions

An extremely sensitive AF sensor provides the EOS 5D Mark IV's focusing performance, which is assured down to -3 EV2. In Live View mode, the Dual Pixel CMOS AF is even sensitive down to -4 EV3.

First-class AF precision, even with long Zooms.

Nature and sports photographers often need to work with super telephoto lenses and extenders to get full-frame images of their subjects. With 61 AF points, 21 of which are cross-type sensors up to f/1:81, precise focusing becomes much easier.

150,000-pixel exposure metering sensor

To perform precise metering, the EOS 5D Mark IV uses a dedicated 150,000-pixel metering sensor (RGB + IR). This sensor also works with the camera's AF system to detect and track color subjects and faces.

One processor for the right performance

At the heart of the EOS 5D Mark IV is the fast DIGIC 6+ processor that controls the camera. This includes converting sensor data into high-quality image data that features high detail, low noise, accurate colors and natural skin tones.

Capture every moment in the frame

The EOS 5D Mark IV enables continuous shooting at up to 7 frames per second with full AF and auto exposure for up to 21 RAW images or an unlimited number of JPEGs in a sequence. So you're always ready for the next shot. In Live View mode, continuous shooting is possible at up to 4.3 fps with AF tracking. So you're always ready for the next shot.

Rugged and reliable

The EOS 5D Mark IV offers optimized protection against the elements and a sturdy magnesium alloy construction. This means it's safe to use even in tough conditions. With a lighter weight than the EOS 5D Mark III, the EOS 5D Mark IV is specifically designed for more reliable and longer shooting performance.

Crystal clear images

Capture your movie moments with the EOS 5D Mark IV's remarkable sensor to bring more detail and clarity to every scene. With options to shoot in high-definition 4K or Full HD at a variety of frame rates that include slow-motion 60 fps, the world of DSLR filming is a bit more accessible with the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV just got a little bit better.

Seamless integration

Built-in Wi-Fi with NFC allows for quick connection to a compatible smartphone, tablet or laptop and to a selected image service. This is ideal for quickly sending images to clients or sharing on social networks. Support for FTP/FTPS is ideal when shooting in locations where Wi-Fi is available and more security is required.

Connected to the world

Built-in GPS allows you to tag your shots with location data and ensures that the EOS 5D Mark IV's internal clock is accurately set. It's now also much more power efficient, so you can shoot longer with GPS. GPS location data helps organize your shots and allows you to track your shooting route or find a specific shooting location again.

Canon EOS 5D Mark IV + EF 16-35mm f2,8 L III USM

Mehrere Akku's probiert, kein Erfolg.

The Canon EOS 5D IV is like out of the egg...

The Canon EOS 5D IV is as good as new, even though it was a demonstration model. The shipping was also ok. I would buy from this supplier again and again.Thank you.

Danke.

Top Kamera
