This robust aluminum ball head from Rollei can be loaded up to a weight of 25 kg and can therefore also be used with heavy set-ups. The Lion Rock 25 can be used professionally and weighs a light 660 grams (incl. quick release plate). Four spirit levels are provided for exact alignment of your shots. A scale is attached to the tripod head for panoramic shots.
The head is Arca-Swiss compatible and has a 3/8" thread on the bottom. With the quick-release plate, the attached camera can be changed easily and quickly. Furthermore, an additional damping presetting is offered.

Seit geraumer Zeit habe ich nun diesen hochgelobten Stativkopf im Einsatz beurteilen können. Er kann sehr vieles, was günstigere Köpfe aber auch können. Mir ist nichts aufgefallen, was dieser ganz besonders besser kann. Als extrem unangenehm, ja sogar als großen Minuspunkt empfinde ich die Tatsache, das sich die sogenannte Schnellwechselbasis nicht auswechseln läßt. Von Schnellwechsel ist meiner Art mit Stativen zu Arbeiten mit diesen Drehfummel Dingern nicht zu sprechen. Nach Rücksprache mit Rollei ist dieses aber fest verklebt und läßt sich nicht auswechseln. Bei so einem teuren Produkt? Geht nicht!? Absolute Enttäuschung und keine Empfehlung. So ein Fummelzeug an einem hochwertigen Kugelkopf. Da fährt ein Ferrari mit einem eingebauten, aber nicht austauschbaren 2CV Motor! Schade...
