5.9K Full Frame Sensor in a Compact Body
The camera supports internal recording of 5.9K in Cinema Raw Light and alternatively 4K in 4:2:2 at 10 bits in XF-AVC format. 5.9K Cinema Raw Light uses the significantly faster CFexpress storage medium. Two CFexpress card slots allow simultaneous recording in the same file format, and an additional SD card slot is used to record proxy files.
The compact design of the EOS C500 Mark II is intended to give camera operators creative freedom, writes Canon. The flexible, modular design is said to be configurable according to production needs. The EOS C500 Mark II is a Cinema EOS system camera with a convertible bayonet: EF bayonet with Cinema Lock or PL. It is also the Cinema EOS system camera that supports Electronic IS.
