Reliable Canon 4K sensor

A 4K sensor and DIGIC DV6 image processor deliver crisp UHD images for 4K TVs, while the 8-blade iris diaphragm provides cinematic attractive background blur. Compose images via the 3.5-inch LCD display or directly in front of the eye with the built-in electronic viewfinder (EVF).

Manual Control

With powerful 20x optical Zoom and advanced image stabilization, videos with dynamic wide-angle or close-up shots are given a special impact. Five freely configurable buttons let you customize the camcorder, and built-in ND filters let you adjust exposure at wider apertures or longer exposures.

Fast, Precise Focusing with Face Detection

The LEGRIA HF G70 features an advanced hybrid AF system that lets you adjust the focusing speed between fast and slow AF. The 3.5-inch LC display lets you set the focus point by simply touching the display at the desired point. Face Detection AF and Face Tracking are available for even greater accuracy and convenience, especially in busy environments where the subject needs to stay in the frame, while manual focusing can be performed via the control ring on the lens.

MP4 recording

The LEGRIA HF G70 supports MP4 for playback of recordings via a compatible TV. The camcorder also offers 4K UHD at 150 Mbps and 25p, as well as Full HD at 35/17 Mbps and 50p/25p.

Wide Range of Recording Features

Numerous output and recording options include, 0.5x Full HD slow motion recording, 4K/Full HD time-lapse recording up to 1,200x, and various Special Scene modes. Custom Image Settings allow color matching to other Canon Cameras, while Audio Scene Select mode provides sound recording tailored to the environment. Simultaneous backup and continuous recording are also possible via the two SD card slots. Full HD UVC live streaming is possible via the USB-C (1) output.
