The lens features a 25.5mm ultra-wide angle, 4K imaging quality, 15x optical Zoom, and Super UD lenses to minimize chromatic aberrations - for optimized image quality. Advanced 5-axis image stabilizer ensures smooth shooting when filming on the move and handheld.

Fast and accurate Dual Pixel CMOS AF
The XA55 features Dual Pixel CMOS AF for fast and accurate autofocus over approximately 80% (vertical and horizontal) of the sensor area. Face detection AF and touch tracking enable continuous focusing and intuitive handling. Dual Pixel Focus Assist supports manual focusing through a graphical display

XF-AVC and MP4 recording to SD card
The XA55 supports recording in various formats such as XF-AVC and MP4. It records XF-AVC 4K UHD 160 Mbps at up to 25p - and Full HD 45 Mbps at 50p/50i/25p. It is also possible to record MP4 4K 150 Mbps at 25p and Full HD 35 Mbps at 50p/25p. Slow and fast motion recording is available in 4K/Full HD accelerated up to 1,200x.

Powerful features also include an infrared mode that enables recording in extremely low to no light and, thanks to the two SD card slots, simultaneous or continuous recording. Other features include 3G-SDI, professional audio support via two XLR interfaces, 4-channel linear PCM, and low power consumption for increased battery range.
