Sennheiser MKH 8050 directional condenser microphone
Thanks to its supercardioid characteristic, the MKH 8050 offers even greater attenuation of ambient noise compared to its sister model, the MKH 8040. This makes it an excellent choice for recording soloists, and when acoustic separation requirements are particularly high. Its balanced frequency response throughout the entire frequency response range ensures that large instruments such as grand pianos, as well as orchestras, sound particularly musical and free of coloration. The Nextel surface of the MKH 8050 also avoids light reflections, and allows the microphone to be positioned solely according to acoustic considerations.
