Nikon HB-90 Lens hood

The lens hood prevents light incident from the side from being reflected by lens or mount parts and thus reaching the image sensor or the eyepiece. This can lead to significant impairments of the image, such as optical overlays or unsightly light spots.

Because the hood extends and darkens the end of the lens, the lens hood prevents light entering from the side from entering the lens. Another benefit of the extended lens is the added protection from accidental impact.

The lens hood is specially designed for the NIKKOR Z 50 mm f/1.8 S.
