GND Filter 150x170mm GND8 Reverse (0.9) 3 stops

NiSi 150x170mm gray graduated filters (GND) are an indispensable tool for landscape photography. Thanks to the use of these filters, you can bypass the limits of your camera's dynamic range while capturing details in the light and dark areas of the scene. They are made of high-quality optical glass and allow you to capture every detail in your photos, without distortions or color changes. Gray graduated filters are darkened at one end and transparent at the other. In the center of the filter, these two surfaces blend into each other, from dark to clear.

NiSi GND8 Reverse (0.9) Nano IR 3 Apertures 150x170mm

The addition Nano® indicates the use of a special nano-coating. IR is a coating that blocks infrared light, and therefore prevents the magenta color cast that is often present. While GND8, (0.9) and 3 apertures with three different designations describe the light absorption value of the filter. The dimension is 150x170mm and 2mm thickness, so the filter is also compatible with filter holders from other manufacturers that support this standard and do not have high manufacturing tolerances. We recommend using a NiSi S5 filter holder with integrated polarizing filter or a NiSi "Classic" Q series filter holder if you do not want to use a polarizing filter.

"Reverse" transition

Reverse filters have a gradient transition between the light and dark areas, similar to GND with hard transition, but the darkest part of the filter is at the transition point, towards the top the filter becomes transparent again. These filters are specially designed for sunrise or sunset photos, where the light is strongest at the horizon and becomes weaker towards the sky.

Forget resin filters

NiSi filters are all made of high quality optical glass to capture the finest details and to be able to use them permanently with consistent quality. The special nano-coating on both sides minimizes unwanted reflections and gives the NiSi neutral density filters the property of being water repellent and very easy to clean.

Unique on the market

Thanks to the very high color fidelity without color cast, you can finally say goodbye to strong color corrections in post-processing.
NiSi optical glass is not a classic B270 glass, but it is a high quality glass that is also used by the major manufacturers of photographic lenses especially for the finest optical elements. NiSi filters do not affect the image, allowing you to realize the full potential of your lens and photo sensor. In addition to IR blocking, NiSi filters also block ultraviolet (UV) light for even more accurate color fidelity.

Weatherproof

The Nano® coating gives the filter the ability to repel water and oils. This facilitates cleaning even under extreme conditions or splashes of seawater, for example. The finishing of the edges and the rounded corners of our filters improve durability and handling.
