B+W XS-Pro Digital HTC Circular Pole Käsemann MRC nano - 82 mm

For this high-end polarizing filter, the foil pieces are selected for highest color neutrality. After cementing between high-quality cover glasses, an additional grinding and polishing process takes place. This ensures superior sharpness even with very fast apochromatic lenses. Optimum cementing technology ensures long-term stability even in humid climates. This generation of Käsemann High Transmission (HTC) polarizing filters is equipped with a new type of filter foil that has higher light transmission.

Due to the higher light transmission (transmission), the High Transmission Polarizing Filters HTC according to Käsemann absorb correspondingly less light and achieve a brighter viewfinder image. Due to the low light loss, faster exposure times are possible. Circular polarizing filters increase the purity of inherent colors and enhance color saturation. They can be rotated in the mount, so the erasing effect of a reflection in the viewfinder or on the display can be easily adjusted. The filter factor of polarizing filters is usually between 4 and 8, which corresponds to up to three f-stops. The B+W high transmission polarizing filter according to Käsemann has a filter factor of 2 to 3, i.e., 1 to 1.5 f-stops. The new polarizing filters have a circular design and are therefore suitable for all camera systems with built-in exposure meters and AF systems.

MRC nano coating
All XS-Pro digital filters are equipped with the MRC nano coating. The outer layer has been strengthened in its effect. The property, which is based on nanotechnology (lotus effect), achieves better water repellency. This makes cleaning the filter surface even easier and faster. The hydrophobic surface also reduces fogging when moving from a cold to a warm environment. Within a very short time, the fogging dissolves from the filter glass surface.

guter Filter

B+W filters are really good

B+W circular polarizing filters are the best price/performance polarizing filters I've had so far. Very durable and MRC really works.
