The EF 24mm f/1.4L II provides excellent image quality even in low-light conditions thanks to its fast f/1.4 aperture. Ideal for creating an attractive blur effect in the background, the circular aperture and shallow depth of field at open aperture. The universally applicable 24 mm focal length ensures well-balanced wide-angle shots and is therefore particularly interesting for photojournalists, landscape photographers and anyone who likes to work from a wide perspective.
Two additional high-precision aspherical lenses for correcting aberrations such as image field curvature and distortion result in significantly optimized imaging performance. Chromatic aberration is not uncommon in wide-angle photography - two UD lenses in the EF 24mm f/1.4L II correct for these aberrations, ensuring razor-sharp imaging from edge to edge.
Specially developed for use in digital cameras, Canon features a new, patented lens coating to reduce flare and phantom images caused by reflections inside the lens. This visibly increases imaging quality.
The EF 24mm f/1.4L II's virtually silent ring-type ultrasonic motor (USM) enables exceptionally fast automatic focusing; of course, it can be switched to manual focus at any time. Internal focusing contributes to high image quality throughout the distance range.
Canon lenses are designed to withstand regular use under tougher conditions. Seals to protect against dust and weather provide additional protection. A lens hood and lens pouch are included.
Only lead-free glass is used to manufacture the lens glass.
