The Canon lens simulator shows impressively, how focal length and aperture of a lens change a photo.
Canon Lens Simulator (German)The Canon RF 1200mm f8 L IS USM is an extremely lightweight 1200mm super telephoto lens in a class of its own for stunning shots.
The RF 1200mm F8 L IS USM is the new top-of-the-line model in the ever-expanding RF lens lineup, offering unprecedented super telephoto performance. Since the Canon EF 1200mm f/5.6 L USM, which was launched more than 29 years ago, there hasn't been a lens like it.
With the RF 1200mm F8L IS USM, distance is no longer a problem - and neither is image quality. With an image stabilizer for up to 4 stops of exposure, a f/8 speed, and a lightweight magnesium alloy body, this super-telephoto lens allows you to shoot freehand with the highest image quality. Thanks to its outstanding Canon Technology, it delivers exceptional detail - even when the subject is very far away.
The RF 1200mm F8L IS USM delivers incredible telephoto shots, offering the longest native focal length for mirrorless cameras to date. With a practical f/8 aperture and an image stabilizer for up to 4 stops of exposure, the lens exceeds expectations even in low light.
Canon's highest performing telephoto lens is also incredibly versatile. Optimized weight distribution makes it easy to handle, while Fluorite, UD and Super UD lenses with advanced coatings deliver stunningly sharp images.
The design of the L-series RF 1200mm F8L IS USM puts ease of use at the forefront. The close focus distance of approximately 4.3m enables tracking on subjects over an enormous range of distances. Heat-insulating outer paint protects the optics inside, while a fluorine coating repels dust and splashing water from the front and rear lenses.
The RF 1200mm F8L IS USM is at the top of the Canon lens range. The aperture can be adjusted in 1/8 stops, which is ideal for video shooting. The optical image stabilizer works in conjunction with the in-camera IS to provide impressive stabilization.
The RF 1200mm F8L IS USM features a wide range of customizable options with two focus presets and a configurable AF stop button. The lens is fully compatible with RF extenders, and for those coming to Canon from another system, even the focus direction can be reversed!
