Versatile focal length with high speed

The Walimex pro 24mm F1.4 lens is the ideal focal length for many possibilities in composition and creative photography. On a full-frame camera, it is the perfect lens for landscapes, reportage or even street photography. The very high speed of 1:1.4 provides you with a very bright viewfinder for focusing and image composition, as well as the possibility of creative cropping between foreground and background.

Internal focusing

The lens is equipped with internal focusing, which means that the overall length does not change when focusing. The filter thread also does not rotate, which benefits the use of polarizing filters or graduated filters. The internal focusing via partially shiftable lens groups has the further advantage that uniformly good imaging performance is achieved from infinity to close-up range. Focusing, as well as the selection of the effective aperture, is done manually by the photographer.

Aspherical lenses

For a full-frame wide-angle with 1.4 aperture, it is built quite compactly. This was achieved by using lenses made of high-index glass. In addition, two aspherical glass lenses provide an increase in imaging performance, almost all aberrations are corrected.

Advantages of a full-frame lens on a camera with an APS-C sensor

Save time in post-processing. A large number of lens errors such as distortion, edge blur or vignetting occur on the outer areas of the image. If you use a lens calculated for full format on a camera with APS-C sensor, these areas are not used. Thus, the maximum quality is obtained. Additional post-processing time to correct lens errors is therefore not required.
