For example, if you want to send the G-DRIVE ArmorLock SSD to a user at another location, you can pre-authorize that user's access to the drive - securely and conveniently via an email or messaging service of your choice.

Automatic unlocking
Authorize your phone or computer for quick access to the confidential data on your G-DRIVE™ ArmorLock™ SSD. With the auto-unlock feature, you can conveniently have your drive automatically unlocked when connected to an authorized smartphone or computer.

Robust drive management
In the ArmorLock app, you can quickly format the drive with one of the compatible file systems. When the content is no longer needed, it can be securely erased with the touch of a button. Have you left your G-DRIVE ArmorLock SSD somewhere? The app shows you on a map where you last used it.

Highest data security
The G-DRIVE ArmorLock SSD is delivered locked by the manufacturer and is therefore not accessible to anyone before unlocking via app. Ejecting it automatically locks the drive - and the contents can no longer be accessed without authorization. The G-DRIVE ArmorLock SSD features 256-bit AES XTS hardware encryption and NIST P-256 management with elliptic curve-based keys for durably strong protection of your data without compromising operating speed.

Professional performance
The G-DRIVE ArmorLock SSD features a cooling aluminum enclosure that dissipates heat away from the drive. This minimizes throttling to continuously deliver professional read and write speeds of up to 1,000 MB/s throughout the transfer.

Rugged durability
The extremely rugged G-DRIVE ArmorLock SSD offers professional and reliable durability. This is ensured by drop resistance up to 3 m, shock resistance up to 450 kg as well as dust and water protection according to IP67.
