The Canon lens simulator shows impressively, how focal length and aperture of a lens change a photo.
Canon Lens Simulator (German)The EOS C300 Mark III's technology and feature set, as well as its flexibility and advanced customization options, make it especially well-suited for broadcast and documentary filmmakers, as well as corporate video production. Product images show optional accessories.
The next-generation EOS C300 Mark III features the newly developed Canon 4K Super 35mm DGO sensor with 4K 120p slow motion, high dynamic range and Dual Pixel CMOS AF - all in the same body as the EOS C500 Mark II.
New 4K Super 35mm CMOS sensor for stunning image quality.
With its newly developed 4K Super 35mm sensor and DIGIC DV7 image processor, the EOS C300 Mark III delivers an exceptionally high-resolution image with more than 16 stops of dynamic range.
It also offers premium low-light performance with optimized noise reduction and ISO sensitivity up to 102,400 - for shooting in conditions where the human eye can barely see.
Super 35mm DGO (Dual Gain Output) sensor generates HDR in real time
The DGO sensor is a newly developed imaging system that enables exceptionally clear low-light image quality as well as first-class HDR capture.
On the DGO sensor, each pixel reads out the image at two different gain levels - one high and one low - which are then combined into a single image. The higher gain readout is optimized to capture clean detail in dark areas, while the lower gain readout is optimized to capture detail in brighter areas. Therefore, combining the two results in preserving and optimizing the details and qualities in both particularly bright and dark areas of the image, allowing the camera to achieve an impressive higher dynamic range of up to 16+ f-stops.
The new DGO sensor is also compatible with Dual Pixel CMOS AF, giving users more freedom to achieve the image they want.
High frame rates up to 120fps in 4K.
The EOS C300 Mark III supports continuous 4K shooting at up to 120 frames per second in both Cinema RAW Light and XF-AVC. In cropped 2K mode, frame rates can also be set from 12 to 180 fps for more creative freedom, while a dedicated Slow & Fast button provides quick access to the desired Slow & Fast setting.
Dual Pixel Focus Guide
Dual Pixel CMOS AF's phase difference technology provides a graphical indication of front or back focus: the rectangle turns green when the subject is in focus, making manual focusing easier - especially helpful when focusing critically in 4K.
Tracking AF
Simply select a subject in the frame on the touchscreen and it will be tracked while moving within the frame - this effortless subject tracking saves a lot of hard work.
Face Priority / Face Only
Working together with Canon's Face Detection technology, Dual Pixel CMOS AF automatically detects a face, focuses on it, and tracks focus as it moves.
In-camera Electronic IS
The EOS C300 Mark III features internal Electronic Image Stabilization (Electronic IS), which provides 5-axis compensation for camera shake. Even when using lenses without electronic communication to the camera, Electronic IS can be used by manually entering the focal length.
Compact, lightweight and reliable
The body is only 1,750 g light. This makes it easy to attach to a gimbal or handheld rig - ideal for a wide range of shooting conditions.
Groundbreaking autofocus technology *
The EOS C300 Mark III features Canon Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology, which offers fast continuous AF. Users also benefit from smooth, intuitive touch-focus operation via the 4.3-inch LM-V2 LCD display, as well as enhanced focusing for even more natural pull-focus effects.
To fine-tune AF, the EOS C300 Mark III offers the ability to adjust AF tracking speed and AF sensitivity.
*With compatible lenses
Various bayonet and lens options
The EOS C300 Mark III supports the optional change of bayonet to use different types of lenses for different project requirements.
The EF bayonet offers perfect compatibility with the extensive range of Canon EF lenses - including EF Cinema fixed focal lengths - and the optional PL bayonet supports the Cooke /i system. B4 bayonet adapters are also available (for EF and PL bayonets), allowing the use of B4 lenses.
Different recording formats support broadcast workflows
Two card slots allow simultaneous internal recording of 4K Cinema RAW Light files (10/12-bit) or 4K XF-AVC files (4:2:2 10-bit) to CFexpress cards. XF-AVC supports ALL-I, which provides the best recording quality, and Long-GOP for longer recording times thanks to higher compression. Proxy files can be recorded to an SD card, making post-processing even more efficient.
