The Z-Cam E2-M4 is a powerful camera with MFT sensor and, together with the extremely fast Panasonic Leica DG Nocticron MFT lens with unique results.
Proven technology in a new guise
With the E2-M4, Z CAM brings the best of the popular E2 into the flagship series body! All video modes including 4K at 120fps or 4K 2:4:1 at 160fps in 10-bit, internal recording in ProRes RAW up to 60fps in 10-bit, and external recording using Atomos Ninja V in 4K ProRes RAW. You can achieve unique results with this camera, because this performance is unparalleled.
Still small, but grown up!
The new Flagship Series adapter mount allows the Z CAM to be used with a separate electronic ND module, or to replace the pre-installed MFT mount with either a PL or EF mount. Despite this innovation, the camera only grows 10mm more in depth, but allows you flexibility not previously available. In short, the E2-M4 is an E2 under the hood with the physical advantages of its big brothers!
The light giant and portrait specialist comes with aperture ring, Power O.I.S. - image stabilizer and full - time - autofocus.
Leica Camera AG calls this exceptionally fast fixed focal length for Micro - FourThirds - system cameras "Nocticron" and guarantees a high optical and mechanical quality of the top lens with a robust metal barrel. It consists of 14 lenses in 11 groups, including 2 aspherical elements, 1 ED (Extra - low Dispersion) - and one UHR (Ultra High Refractive Index) - element. The aspherical lenses suppress aspherical aberration and distortion. The ED lens produces sharp, high-contrast detail without color fringing all the way to the corners, while the UHR lens ensures uniformly high optical performance from the center to the edges while allowing for a more compact design.
The classic medium telephoto focal length of 42.5mm, equivalent to 85mm on a 35mm camera, is ideally suited for portrait photography. The large aperture allows for selective use of shallow depth of field. The 9 blades create a round aperture, which provides for a particularly beautiful bokeh in the out-of-focus areas of the image. In landscape photography, this focal length excels with a natural perspective.
The Panasonic Nano-coating technology minimizes reflections in the entire visible light range from 380 to 780nm in the Leica DG Nocticron 1.2/42.5mm Asph./Power O.I.S.. For particularly high-contrast images with extremely low refractive index, the coating layer with nano - structure on the lens surface provides. The internal focusing system ensures consistent resolution and contrast over the entire distance range. A stepper motor focuses smoothly and quietly during photo and video shooting. Especially at large apertures with shallow depth of field, the contrast AF system of the LUMIX G system cameras shows its advantage of greater accuracy compared to classic phase difference AF systems.
The Leica DG Nocticron 1, 2/42.5mm Asp/Power O.I.S. consists of a high-quality metal barrel and a robust, durable metal bayonet as well as a lens hood, which is also made of metal.
