With the "D5" from Nikon, you get a highly accurate and powerful SLR camera that can capture stunning photos and videos. The autofocus system comes with 153 measuring fields, so you can focus especially precisely. The new buffer memory allows you to capture up to 200 NEF (RAW) images at a time.

The newly developed sensor captures even the finest image details and detects subjects very accurately. Thanks to the huge sensitivity range, which can be extended up to ISO 3,280,000, you can capture detailed images in astronomical twilight as well as in bright sunshine.

Videos can be recorded in 4K (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) at 30p, 25p or 24p. If you're recording in Full HD, the frame rate can be increased to 50p or 60p and you get more frame options. 4k movies can be written to the internal memory card without compression and viewed on a compatible playback device via HDMI output.

Thanks to extensive feedback from agency photographers, special emphasis was placed on ergonomics and speed. You have intuitive control over your camera thanks to the defined curves and edges. Large amounts of data can be transferred quickly via the USB 3.0 port.

The new CMOS image sensor has a resolution of 20.8 megapixels and, together with the 180,000 pixel RGB sensor for exposure metering, ensures excellent image results. Photos and videos can be viewed on the crisp 3.2" monitor, which has a resolution of 2.36 mp and can be conveniently controlled via touch input.

The image stabilizer effectively compensates for camera shake and enables sharp shots with exposure times that are up to four stops slower. Autofocus drive by the Nikon-exclusive Silent Wave motor works even faster than the previous model. The lens is ruggedly built and the fluorine coating on the front and rear lenses effectively repels water, dust and dirt.
