If the brightness is too high, reduce the light intensity to achieve better results.
Color-neutral gray or neutral density filters for variable light reduction at high brightness, for extending the exposure time and for deliberate reduction of the depth of field. Extension factor 2 to 400*.
Particularly suitable as a fader for video recording with DSLR, mirrorless system camera and camcorder, if a specified exposure time/frame rate (fps) is to be maintained at open aperture (shallow depth of field).
Turning the front ring (in the "Min" to "Max" range) reduces the incident light by 2 to 8 f-stops. No vignetting with lenses from approx. 28 mm focal length (based on full-frame format).
* As with most variable neutral density filters, a blue-violet color cast may occur when attenuated by more than 5 f-stops (exposure time extension over 32x). Attenuation by more than 7 f-stops (exposure time extension over 128x) can cause cross-shaped shadowing with wide-angle lenses.
